I was hoping that after scanning all those monoliths or by gather all those relics, some huge event like a portal or something would open in one of those circular areas. Imagine something appearing there or if you could use that to teleport to some place in the Galaxy...an alien world or something.

Not sure why Frontier can't pull some cool stuff like that, they have the opportunities all around with this massive universe, yet we'll have mysteries, texts to read and perhaps one day...another mystery. [uhh]

Speaking of the Feds and imperials. We better hurry are arses up before they discover about this site. Who knows what they might do to it.

I've been in the ruins and I have to say that the ambient sounds there are just amazing! Hope there are more ruins like this out there somewhere to find.

Like the front page of the thread :p Though to be fair it may not have been on there when you first found out about it due to timezones.

What's the first thing that you want to do when a new major discovery is made? Study, gather information and try to work out any meanings/links you can.

What's the first thing that happens when you widely publicise a major discovery? Scientists get blown up by people just for the sheer hell of it.

Now I'm afraid of going out of the planet with all these relics...But at the same time I wish something weird and cool could happen. (alien encounter or something like that...green lights!!)

You'd be surprised how rarely I check the front page. Or maybe you wouldn't? :)

You wouldn't know from reading the thread title in the list if anything is happening at the moment; you might drop in and find there's been 20 pages of discussion on 2.2 features or something more important like biscuit reviews. I'm not complaining or anything, just thinking it'd be nice if something could be done to flag this thread when there are major new discoveries.

That's because Dr Betruger, Dr. Genevieve Aristide, Dr. Olivia Pierce, and other notorious colleagues are scientistd hence the poopstorm ensues to prevent the unwary, reckless or otherwise evil from opening the proverbial Pandora's box of bad things.

I know you're not complaining, but the start of the second post does say BREAKING NEWS :p

There could possibly be a flag that could be put onto the thread title, but then what constitutes a major discovery? We made a fair few after the UPs were discovered and once you get past the first few stages of a new discovery, major breakthroughs come thick and fast.

If Palin has made a breakthrough, maybe it is him who uses the data you discovered at the site.

If that is true, then the site can be linked to the MAs and the Barnacles.
