Goodbye Grandpa...

I got a little damp eyed while explaining this CG to the wife last night. Can you imagine a mainstream software publisher even entertaining such a notion? Good fun had by all and pleased to have been a part of something that may have given a crumb of comfort to you W4LDO. o7

Was pleased to contribute to this. Usually I just see pew-pewers in open at CG's, but I saw a lot of traders too. Good stuff everybody. :)

I just dropped off my last load of 28t of coffee with about a minute to spare... My total wasn't high, but my thoughts of your grandfather were constant while doing it. I just visited my 95 year old grandfather this week, so I feel for you my friend. Great grandparts are an amazing gift. I'm sure your grandfather is smiling and extremely proud of you. :D

Well - I've delivered 6000 tonnes of coffee and fish, ended up in the top 25%

It's been an honour and a privilege to have taken part in this special CG. All the best too W4LD0 and your family.
See you around the stars.

CMDR Chaz - Duke of the Imperial Navy.

Well W4LD0, it's over then. I hope the CG showed that we can all sympathise with your loss and I hope it helped you with your grief.

Understand, the grief of his loss will never go away completely, but it will fade away into the background over time and leave the good memories of your prior time together more prominent in the future.

W4LD0 Sorry for your loss I hope your grandad had a worthy send off and that we gave him enough coffee for any fishing he may be doing on those other planets in the black. At 70 I guess in a few years I could be meeting him in the black. Until that day may he R.I.P.. o7 Grandad Walter.

Well we did good, the CG was tough enough to give everyone a chance to pay their respects to W4LDO's grandpa Walter, whilst I had a chance to pay my respect to uncle Mac, my grand parents and many others. I would like to thank W4LDO for the opportunity to remember better days with my departed loved ones. o7

My photoshop skills are really bad, last time I used the damn thing correctly was 10 years ago !
I still managed to do a little something.

I hope those will be quite a number of few years in good health CMDR! o7

Safe journey into the void Walter.

Godspeed.

I would just like to add that this has been the CG that I have felt the most affinity to. A true memorial.

It was a pleasure to run this CG and W4ldo no matter where you are I wish you and your's the best of all luck... and as Karl Sagan wrote

"We are made of starstuff."

So remember that when you look into the nights sky that a part of your Grandfather is out there... enjoying the coffee and the fishing in what ever shape that is...

And from what I have read we have all had a good measure of remembrance with this

o7

One final note to all at Frontier I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this happen. The world shines a little brighter now for someone out there in his remembrance.

Godspeed W4ldo and thanks to you and Frontier for getting this together. The community really shined and we all will have a great memory and a place in the stars to have a cup and cast a line with Walter. Best to all CMDRs o7

Farewell Walter O>

Hauled quite a bit of cargo to the CG in Walter's honor, credits were not even needed for this CG. Just being part of it to honor another Cmdr's family member was very well worth the effort of every Cmdr that joined in.

Thanks to FD for putting on a great CG in Walter's name,

God speed Walter!
