What engineering upgade to use on a huge multi-cannon would you recommend?

Hi all, as title really.

Trying to decide the best Engineering upgrade for my Huge Multi-Cannon, to get the most out of my combat Cutter.
Mainly PvE and possibly some PvP.

thanks all.

Depends on what you are going for but I'm assuming damage is your focus. Therefore
This thread I imagine will read like so

Overcharged with incendiary rounds.
Overcharged with incendiary rounds.
Overcharged with incendiary rounds.
Overcharged with incendiary rounds.

yeah lvl 5 overcharged with inc rounds. But make sure you have 1 other MC with corrosive rounds (huge/large/medium) doesn't matter

It temp weaken's the target armour, so all other weaps benefit from it and it is noticeable.

bit annoying on gun shoots blue shells and all the others red, but hey ho.

If they want damage, all Overcharged incendiary except for a small or medium with a corrosive.
That's my suggestion friend.
We're all here to learn something.

Out of curiosity, do you pick Incendiary over Corrosive because of extra shield damage? Say for example we were talking just hull dps Incendiary vs. Corrosive. Is Incendiary better in that regard?

Lets stick to the OP's question. Say you have a cutter/conda/fdl with a C4 MC. Regardless of the rest of your entire ship's loadout (say for arguments sake it is all unmodded) would you still go incendiary on that one gun, or would you go OC with corrosive?

That actually sounds kinda cool.

I don't see a counter proposal with this rejoinder. If this is laughable, for the sake of productive conversation what do you advocate?

Your literally wasting dps having corrosive rounds on a huge hardpoint as it does not stack with hardpoint size as it is a flat debuff. Another words you can put it on a small hardpoint and get the same debuff. The idea of a huge hardpoint is huge damage and having corrosive rounds on it is not going to give you this.

As for the op I'd go with either overcharge or rapid fire mods with incendiary rounds or maybe autoloader if you have something else for shields.

How long would you have to hit a target with a level 5 multicannon incendiary before they would start to frazzle?

The others have it right. Now that I'm not on my phone I can show you why right here:

All you need to watch is the first minute,

As you can see, the sheer damage output even with the recent nerf is almost unmatched. I can attest to it still being the case as I just tested it on my friends account (I had to start over so I don't have my old vette)

Just to be politically correct, this build is only for PVE, and is rubbish in PVP
