Are you incredulous as to the amount of star systems in the game, or about the ability of a single player to visit them all?
Yes there are 400 billion systems. No, you won't be able to visit them all (do the math, as our American chums say).
Well, if you played the game non-stop for a million years you might be able to... and you never know, Star Citizen might even be out by then!
Of course this is good news for explorers .. 4 million of them would have 10 million unexplored systems to report back on?
Question: what's official FD definition of a billion please? US 1E+09 (thousand million), or UK 1E+12 (million million)??
Either way it's a shed load.

Is it just me or is there nowhere near enough ED 'chatter' coming out of E3?
Wowbagger The Infinitely Prolonged is up to the challenge.
You can see the original sized image here.
The system is 17 Draconis, by the looks of it. Bloody miles away from us!
Can't quite see the name of the outpost though. Peraligo? Paralido?
I think so! As if 400 billions systems wasn't enough, we now have stuff floating about between all those points of light.Woohoo!
Is that the first ever confirmation of rogue planets???
Paradiso station? A tribute to Rik perhaps?
That's only a partial answer. It explains how they stick to the ground, however, their motion in 0.1G would still be a bit different. The guy running on ~30 seconds would be bouncing higher and taking much longer strides, regardless of whether or not he's wearing magnetic boots.
But now I'm just nitpicking...![]()
Trading startes to get interestingOther major additions include five new star systems and more ships. Instead of just choosing between two decent combat vessels, pilots now can select from craft with more cargo capabilities, better combat capabilities, or a mixture of both.
The other main feature included in the premium beta release was the galaxy map. This map not only shows players where they can go, but it also offers more information for each system, such as economies (ideal for knowing where to unload your latest cargo,) and allegiances. One peek at the map and you can see that the game has basically limitless exploration potential. To give an inkling of the scope of space, Braben emphasized that no player could ever travel the entirety of this game and visit every planet. "There are 400 billion stars, and each one has planets," he said.
