Engineers Can't store commodities, can't carry them. What to do?

I'm at 370+(190+ G5) engineer mods and I have never once held onto an engineer commodity. Stop torturing yourself. If you're not going to use it, sell it. You're like that monkey with it's hand stuck in a candy jar.

The mods are ridiculously easy to obtain as it is. From slowly tuning your ship for months, as it was at the begining, we have, thanks to countless whining PvPers, a system where you can have the whole ship engineered to the hell and back in a day or two. And you want to speed it up by another quarter?
Exquisitely Focus Crystal is ridiculously easy to obtain? I beg to differ. What fun is slowly tuning your ship for months?

Yes, people like him ^^

You're right, why create an emotional bond with your ship. Why go around the galaxy and admire the wonders. Why bother with months of gameplay when you can just max out your ship in a day, win the game and go play something else...

Over exaggerating much? I got over 400 hours in the game and still have a lot to do. You make too much of a time sink and you will lose players. There's a fine balance between gameplay and things to do. There not making a game just for you but for the masses. Making a few adjustments to make things a little user friendly won't hurt anyone and clearly won't let you max out your ship in one day. Be real.

I'm real. And I'm not hurt nor am I overly unhappy with the current situation.
Like you said there is the gameplay and things to do. Engineers aren't gameplay. Engineers were supposed to be a "thing to do". Just aside usual business. Something extra that would keep you occupied and help you customize your ship. Because if you are constantly working on your ship, it feels more alive.
Instead, we've got just one extra step to "A-rate all the things"

Nevermind. What I'm trying to say is - if the jump range and getting everything done as fast as possible is what you want to do in the game, who am I to stop you.
I just thought I'd express my opinion that there is much more to this game than hauling X from A to B as quickly as possible.

Attention everyone! A player group called Teamster's Logistics Corporation set up a commodity bank to help resolve this situation. They buy and sell the mission and mining commodities to help serve the community of pilots that want to modify their ships. They handled many common orders to unlock engineers such as (a) 50T of Bromelite for Bill Turner, (b) 10T Painite for Selene Jean, (c) 25 Modular Terminals for Marcus Qwent. They provide the mission-only commodities such as Articulation Motors and Microweave Cooling Hoses to help people that would rather pay for the commodities than spend the time in missions to acquire them. They accept Palladium and Modular Terminals as payment (and possibly other commodities). See their webpage for details: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/241298-Teamsters-Logistics-Corporation
