You still might be. When FD pose puzzles with a single logical answer, they get solved in minutes.
Maybe having multiple choice leaves the answer open to interpretation and a bit of longevity.

Frustrating if you like your puzzles to be solvable, but maybe sensible when you have an MP audience.

Yeah, and the fact that the distribution of "activeness" of all the others is very similar (they're all lit for the same total amount of time +/- 2/60ths of a second each loop).

It feels like it was randomly generated and some of the triangles turned off. Makes me pretty certain the pattern of permanently inactive vs active is the key.

I agree. It was the first thing I noticed when watching the vids. The static bits gets stuck on the eye.

I am very happy with the way this puzzle is going and all the speculation and (open) cooperation. I think ED have got it right so far.

I found a system that roughly looks like the graphic on page 1: COL 173 SECTOR KY-Q D5-84
Plus: It has got a 4C Planet, that has a very nearby twin just like the system where the obelisks were found.
Plus: It is practically next to a system that has been mentioned a lot a couple of pages ago.
Minus: The sytem map looks very similar, but not 100% identical

Do we have the Starclass? Because if not...considering that the Arecibo Message contained the Atomic Numbers, maybe there are the elements of the star inside...

I would be surprised if this is not a B-class star. Only a young system with massive bodies have that many ringed planets.

I think this system is quite similar to Merope.

I also think this code shenaigans smells a bit like Drew's work. Open clusters in EAFOTS/Heart/Soul sector seem like a good place to start.

The system layout is one in a million so if we find a match, there is a fair chance it's the right one.

If you assume the creator misread the digit 10, and the 'asteroids' are opposed, you can find meaningful data using the Arecibo message encoding.

I think this looks really good, maybe its the lat/long for the planet?

The whole vibe of the way this looks is just like the Arecibo, and would maybe match some shenanigans about early colony ships? Not too into lore.

outside of the perimeter. could be a spawn problem. i would say its 800 meters out.

Yeah, but if i think about the "Architects of the Creation" and how "perfect" Merope is, i guess the stretch isn't that far...^^ Well, it was worth a try

Good evening, commanders.

I'm currently investigating the ruins and in a creative break I looked, deep in thought, to an activated relic-tower.
I noticed that each of the three sides of such a relic inside a tower has one of the symbols, like the obelisks that can be found in groups all over the area. Just that these three symbols do not change, quite unlike the ones on the obelisks. Perhaps there is a connection here? It is not easy to see the symbols, as the artifacts inside the towers are glowing in a very bright light.

Maybe someone can take a look at this, who has the necessary image processing programs? (Or whatever is necessary to be able to recognize this better, Im not very good at such stuff.)
If someone already noticed this "discovery", I could not find anywhere in this thread something about it.

I'm in the canyon found by Giddean at the moment. There are some crystal deposits that can be shot for minerals, it's pretty and the music's nice, but that's all I've got.

It shows up as a teeny tiny POI from a ship.
