She is beautiful. The most beautiful woman in the galaxy.
Felicity I'm sorry, it was fun but it's over. I've met someone else, someone who understands my needs in a way that you never could. You've been good to me, too good for me to string you along pretending that everything is OK but I know in my heart that things can never be the same between us. I hope you find someone who can make you happy but I have to move on, for both our sakes.
I bought the DBX the other day just for a change because I'd never flown one and as much as I love the Asp which was my first serious exploration ship, I now have a fully fitted exploration conda for long range journeys and I'm sick of flying something that sounds like a Lancaster bomber with an engine shot out when I don't want to take the big boat out. I'd already started the process of falling in love with the DBX before Elvira got her hands on it but I think she sealed the deal for me tonight. That ship also has a level 5 reinforced shield, heavy duty armour (on lightweight alloys) and best of all, level 5 dirty drives giving me 433 boost speed for covering terrain quickly when I'm checking out planets. If only I could stick a level 5 scoop on it, or if engineers could provide something that was actually useful for fuel scoop mods like increased flow rate with a heat trade-off for example, the level 4 scoop is the only thing that lets it down but with that jump range I can handle an extra few seconds to fill the tank.
Best thing with that roll is I decided to allow myself a maximum of three tries. I had 9 datamined wake exceptions which are
by far the thing I hate collecting for engineers the most (a pure unadulterated lottery which also happens to be incredibly boring) and intend buying either a Beluga or an Orca and a Fed Gunship soon, both of which will need level 5 FSDs, so I didn't want to blow all my wakes on the DBX.
First roll I got something like a 48.5% increase on optimised mass (max is 50%) at the expense of pretty much the maximum increases in power draw and module mass. I was pretty pleased with that, installed it as a banker and then decided to have the other two rolls I'd intended anyway just for lulz since the revised possible range for optimised mass was between +1% and -19%.
Second roll I got a 15% reduction in optimised mass and a module mass increase as a secondary. Wasn't at all surprised.
Third roll I scored the remaining 1% of the optmised mass on the main roll, got another 3% added to it as a secondary, got a maximum fuel per jump increase as the
next secondary and almost wet myself as the last secondary dropped the module mass increase down to half of what the original roll had given me.
