Passengers for Colonia

Hi folks,

Any idea where I can find passenger missions for Colonia from the bubble?
I'm looking on heading out that way to try out the neutron highway so I'd like to take a few passengers :)

Thanks!

I was in Sol last night, flying between Elrich city in Mercury & the 3 main Starports orbiting Earth. Total was around 250 million credits for 5 separate missions heading out to Jaques. Downside is the journey is a round trip, 2weeks in total.

thanks, will check it out. shame they are only round-trips though, I agree with you guys.

Pfft I could barely get there in 2 weeks if I was gunning it with a maxed out LY Conda...

These long range passenger missions are terrible for casuals. If it was 2 weeks "in game" time then maybe we'd be talking!

You get near 3wks to do it, and even if you don't use the Neutron Highway; it's averages out 3kly per day which is very doable even as a casual in a maxed out ly ship.

I did Jaques and SagA within 2wks and that was exploring and bringing power gens to Jaques on its first CG

If you were gunning it in a maxed Anaconda you could do the trip in a day. I took a fully laden Cutter out to Jacques, 21LY jump range, stopped off at hundreds of locations enroute, sometimes spent days on planets, took me 2 weeks averaging a few hours a day during the week.

I've seen them in both Jonai and HIP 93377 - but both systems I am Allied with factions. I think that may be more the key - those high-paying long-range passenger missions show up when allied.

Playing every day is not casual to me.

I play 2 nights a week, 6 hours in total.

If it was 4 years ago before I met my wife & had a daughter then yes it would've been easy. I averaged 7 hours a day! Oh to be in my mid twenties again :(

It took me nearly a month to make it to Jacques, and I suicided home again. I don't think some here understand how little some of us get online.

I understand. I do think people throw around subjective words like 'casual' a bit too much. Casual for one person is not casual for another.

However, as somebody who does have the time to play, I'm excited to take passengers out to Colonia. If it weren't for the trip then I would just do passenger missions within the bubble. you'd earn more money that way haha.

The strict time limits is going to make taking passengers for the CCC Expedition very problematic. The entire event is slated to take 30 days to get out there so everyone has a chance to link up at the various base camps. Sadly, it looks like passengers aren't going to be a viable option for the trip, as it stands now.

Literally you'd have to haul butt out there and then back, then catch back up with the Expedition. I could see some people doing that, but most won't be able to pull that off.

They should adjust the time limit for these ultra long range passenger missions.

I was hoping to bring some passengers with me to Colonia, and built my Python around having a pass cabin for the trip. Then I saw the mission times and...nope. Last time I went to Sag A* it took me almost 2 MONTHS to get there. I simply don't have the time to play. I sometimes go 2 weeks at a time without being able to login at all, yet playing for "only" 3 hours a day is considered "casual" by some people

The bigger issue I see is they'll eject their escape pods off your ship when they're unhappy or the timer expires. I dunno about you, but I wouldn't be willing to do something like that 11kly out from the bubble, no matter how ticked I was. You'd be a floating popsicle for millennia. Might work in the bubble, but not out in the black.

That alone necessitates some kind of accommodating change for long range passenger missions.

"This trip is taking much longer than promised Commander, so I'm going to eject myself and my family in this system 50k LY from the nearest station, that literally no human has ever been to before and take my chances o7" *launches escape pod*

If you get allied with any faction they pop up. I seen one for 106 million credits for one. Don't have the will to do it.

hmm.

106 million for a single mission to colonia?

The trip can apparently be done in 385 jumps using the neutron superhighway. Though I expect there was a bit of preparation involved feeding in the bookmarks for the neutron stars into galaxy map, that is a one off time investment.

You can easily stack quite a few of these missions and do them all at once.

Guess it didn't take long to find the new robigo/sothis for 2.2. However this one is much more lucrative by the sounds of it.
