Hi Cmdr's, just got back to the bubble, no drama coming in, and docked safely in Maia having been out since DWE set off, around 200,000ly total. I went straight to Maia to grab some Meta's, then to Farseer's, got Lv5 after i'd dropped my Data there, then bounced around for a day grabbing the rest of the stuff needed for Farseer's ,,, I had quite a leisurely drive back from Beagle, plenty of time to wonder how good, or not a roll I might end up with,,,,,,, very first roll, the bar maxed and put 56% on the FSD, that takes my DWE Conda's range from 38.03 to over 59, with a max of nearly 63, this thing's gonna move like a 6 on an A road lol, gonna kit this thing out now, then outta here till WP24, Safe travels Cmdr's,,, and much respect to each and every DWE Cmdr o7

Am about to do my first trip to Maia to get my Meta Alloys to do just the same, could offer any help on where you picked up the materials to grind up to level 5 ?

Also are there any decent missions when at Maia should I need to either adjust cargo or cabins before leaving the main bubble ?

Once there (level 5) FSD distance is also what I am aiming for, so help sourcing materials would be much appreciated.

Hi Cmdr, the Meta Alloy, (you only need 1) that you can buy from Darnielles Progress in Maia, is only to get you through the door at Farseers, I think I made this process sound a bit/lot easier than it is/would be for a lot of Cmdrs because I went straight to Lv5 access at Farseers because I sold Exploration Data worth around 5 million there, that gave me Lv4 access, then re-logged and sold another 10 million, that was probably more than enough to gain access to the Lv5 upgrades.
Ok, as for the materials needed,

Arsenic,,, along with a few other things, I had 28 of these just lying around the ship from prospecting.

Chemical Manipulators,, I used method 2 here, choose any Busy system and find "Combat aftermath" signal sources,,, https://youtu.be/2PE73uZPKuQ

Datamined Wake Exceptions,,, You'll need to have a Wake Scanner for this,,, I just hung around outside a station, in or around the no fire zone, scanning all the High Wakes left as ships jumped out of the system.

Magnetic Coil Emitters,,, You can buy these at Steiners in the Aasgaa system.

Sorry Cmdr I can't help with the missions in Maia, I just popped in there to buy the Meta, hope this helps in some way, safe travels o7

Meanwhile, during everyone complaining about the indignation of RNGineer "grinding"... ;)

Excellent going old chap. You have a pair of exploration knackers that I can only pretend to have.

From first Docking in Maia, the whole process, probably took me around 3 hrs game time from buying the Meta, buying the Magnetic Coil emitters, scanning the signal sources, found 6 Chemical Manipulators,,, scanning high wakes, found 6 Datamined Wake exceptions, but then I already had the Arsenic, and enough Exploration Data to quickly gain Lv5 access. I went back to Farseer's with enough mats for 6 rolls, only needed one,,,,,,, This doesn't include the time spent handing in my DWE data, just the "grind" time. It never felt like a grind, everything seemed to go well, getting regular hits in all my searching, and not 1 interdiction at any time since returning to the bubble o7
