Or maybe we should shoot the pyramid?

Hmm.... I've theorized this area is a detailed recreation of a battle complete with attack sites and markings for active military units. The pink Floyd tie in is noted but it's significance I think requires more thought. The triangle in itself is a Prism... that itself may be significant. We got the Prism system of Drew lore, but also prismatic shields. Then again it could be trying to reference some sort of light amplifying weapon. Finally I won't rule out some odd tie in to lensing on a cosmic scale.. gravitational lensing from stars etc.

Exciting stuff.

SRV saying Low gravity for no reason is normal. its warning you of low gravity. it does it on most planets with low grav.

Edit: I am entirely wrong here. I apologize, but I no longer support this idea. For records sake, I am leaving it up, but I am quite embarrassed.

I have being playing long enough to know what is normal behavior or not. I know that you get a gravity warning when you deploy an SRV. This has been thing since 2.1 I know that.
Now at the Ruins site, it keeps giving you those warnings. Even after you've dismissed your ship.
You will randomly get gravity warnings while driving around the ruins. I was on the fence as to whether this was a bug or not. I didn't do any extensive testing, but I did drive around a lot on planet surfaces in the beta and that didn't happen so.
This is conformation that it is not a bug, and it is also a link between these two mysteries.

It's a world engine, across the void of space!

latest

nah who knows!

Also happening at the Ruins site. This IS big. I thought that that might have been a bug, but not so.

You win FDev, you win. I'm impressed.

The Allied Police Force at Mic Turner Base in the California sector talks constantly about rattling noises.

OK so maybe this is tin foil hate time but Cmdr Rithwald and I were tossing around the Pink Floyd idea and well... maybe you should take a listen for yourself and see if you think this is a clue or not.

Maybe by using the notes in the intro (number em 1,3,1,3,1,3,2,4 etc) gives the activation sequence for the obeliscs?

Excellent work, CMDR!

The rays point to the central structure, backing up my idea it represents a star

Has this been done yet: get all four emitters/monoliths up, then get a CMDR on each part that lights up the obelisk data server and see what happens?
More likely that the part of the resulting spectro passing the center of the circular superstructure idents the main stars color?

So, stars emit a fairly wide spectrum. However, emission nebulas emit very specific bands. The pyramid could represent a nebula that is emitting specific bands on the visible spectrum.

See this link for more info: http://www.atnf.csiro.au/outreach/education/senior/astrophysics/spectra_astro_types.html

If course we can use the Pink Floyd image to guess at the wavelengths, but it seems a bit too ambiguous considering the light could be coming from one of the other two exposed sides of the pyramid.

I've been wondering if the site is any form of 3D representation of something. Look at the site images 'vertically' and the wall outline looks to me like a long 3D cube, either in perspective or isometric view. Then there are the structures evenly spaced around the walls which might form a grid of some kind. I dunno it feels like a dead end but it keeps jumping out at me when i look at it.

So the data points at dav's hope seem to tell a story of miners experiencing huge "quakes" as they phrase it, so bad "it felt like the entire planet was coming down on us"

Communication between the site "Lucy Minneux" and a "Nicholas Baker" continue arguing about shutting the site down.

Then this Nicholas Baker order the site to be shut down, and all confidential materials to be taken to "alpha site"

Have also experienced gravity changes on the planet, while in the SRV i get warnings of low gravity intermittently
Read through it again.
the reason the site is getting shut down is that it isn't viable, the miners are expendable in the eyes of the higher ups. The quakes are the ground team blowing the charges that were meant to be used at the end of the mission although they instead got used to cut down on costs.
There is a post in the last few pages that has a gallery of all the messages.
Sadly this seems to be the end of the mystery for this one. If you find the alpha site then I'd be happy to "investigate" with you.

I have an idea that i think is worth checking into. We are speculating that the nonogram may be linked to the Formidine Rift in some way, and the nonogram is complete aside from the portion of it that states what area to look in for the system.

What if we already know the name of the system from a previous clue? Rifters are already searching an area tirelessly for confirmation to a vague clue. It is the area EAFOTS and it comes from when Salome's cobra was decommissioned and it sent out a final message. Perhaps we should look on EDSM.net and peel through the system data in EAFOTS and see if we have a system that matches. Even if we search EAFOTS for any system with a celestial body 4C.

Can anyone help me look into this using the JSON file from EDSM? Any help would be great.

Lots of prisms.

Prism system (Kahina's home) has three extra stars called Diamond, Ruby and Sapphire. This is one short of all the precious gem stones. The missing is of course Emerald, Patreus' home planet.

Emerald was the location of the art installation 'Prism’s Shades' that was opened by Aisling (wearing ruby red evening gown, adorned with painite sparkles). https://community.elitedangerous.com/galnet/uid/cf45ee72bfc41c59770ace38773cca30c44f214a

There is probably some kind of symbolism in the different colours.

UA and Xenohenge are blue.
UP is red.
Barnacles and Alien wreck are green.

We are probably orange?

Lots of pieces, but I don't quite see the full picture.

I just wonder if there is some software to transpond the grade of brightness into audio ?

There should be at least one to make the changes visible.
At least NASA uses this to find new planets by measuring transits around a star.
But Im no english native speaker nor scientist, dob't ask me how this is called correctly.

Yes, but before 2.2      ing Betty would only say it when you deployed your SRV, not at random places on the planet. So, maybe it's normal for her do it in 2.2, or there could be something else at play that we haven't figured out yet.

I have seen 'low grav warning' when deploying and while driving around before 2.2 so pretty sure this is normal behavior for on board computer

@ Han , I am sure I read local text chat messages regarding 'rattling noises' many weeks ago whilst floating near a station, might have been Obsidian Orbital in Maia System or maybe Hereford station in the Apurui system ( in the bubble ).
Long story short, I dont think the comms chatter is relevant.
