Good job, CMDR! Creepy...wonder what are the white things on the last one??

EDIT: ok, they're UAs. So there's a verified link between them and the crashed alien ship we found in the Pleiades?

Let's take an alternative situation when analyzing the ruins-- the "ancient" or aliens locate an abandoned human outpost somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

Sure as hell we're not building every tiniest object with a purpose of fitting a mysterious map; we don't paint markings under rocks forming a code leading to Sol or make the whole settlement an Incredible Contraption that just needs to be pressed in a proper order. So why would they?

We're building things useful, efficient, comfortable. We don't do mysterious, coding, contraptions because they're the opposite of the forementioned.

So instead of trying to find a hidden message in every dust speck around the ruins maybe it would be a good move to think about what they actually are, give them a break and focus on the other thread (nonogram) which seems much more promising?

+++ EDIT +++ and while writing this message a new wreck was found.. congratulations, CMDR Deneb!

Now the question is - did the alien ship crash because of UA or was it carrying em??

some of them are dead so, probably it was carrying them and they didnt survive the crash which, if true, brings a whole new valuable connection

If I tell you I was searching for the new terrestrial or organic features would you believe me? :p

Wow, that’s incredibly lucky then! I’ve done a lot of searching for geysers and such but have only found one field so far, but frack if I stumbled upon an alien crash site in the process I’d lose my mind!!!

Makes me wonder how many alien crash sites are already out there, just waiting to be found?

Just found a new Alien crash site with a few alive and dead UAs around it. Cannot post direct pics for some reason so im posting links

Holy crap! Did NOT expect that. Allow me ...

Brilliant! Congrats on the find! I assumed something like this was in the game when 2.2 launched with the double ship crash site.

One does have to wonder how a bug like that happens though. It wasn't in the Beta. I almost have to assume that the launch of 2.2 included more crashed ships and that one was placed there accidentally in addition to the others.

I see you are looking for the system, but it looks like everyone is searching for 4C. That makes no sense, as there is a 4D as well. Is it possible to do a search string with several bodies? If so, using "1C AND 3A AND 4D AND 5E AND 6F" would narrow down the search a lot.

Pipes are your friend, e.g.,

$ jq . bodies2.json | grep -i 4c | grep -i 4d | grep -i 5e

This confirmed my suspicion about these alien ships thx:)

also im back from my pirate npc murdering brake and i already found a second system where the incident could have happened perfect

If I also tell you that yesterday, while testing the taipan in a canyon I almost crashed in an unclaimed intact barnacle, what will you say? :p

I have being playing long enough to know what is normal behavior or not. I know that you get a gravity warning when you deploy an SRV. This has been thing since 2.1 I know that.
Now at the Ruins site, it keeps giving you those warnings. Even after you've dismissed your ship.
You will randomly get gravity warnings while driving around the ruins. I was on the fence as to whether this was a bug or not. I didn't do any extensive testing, but I did drive around a lot on planet surfaces in the beta and that didn't happen so.
This is conformation that it is not a bug, and it is also a link between these two mysteries.

FWIW i get the grav warnings in my SRV when another commander in the instance deploys their SRV (at the same time as i would expect they hear it themselves).

To everyone questioning the floating materials post, I want to add that I've been exploring the Actaea planet in the Sol system, and I've had the same experience. When I blast outcrops, they fly upwards of 40m in the air and don't fall back down. I was thinking that could be because the planet is so small (the game actually says it's 0.0000 earth masses and is 0.00G), but hey, there definitely should be some sort of gravity that would slowly cause the objects to fall back to the surface... maybe it's a bug. I was going to add something else that pointed to this being a bug, but I've had a long day and I'm too tired to remember lol. I'll update this message if I remember

with very low gravity, it's entirely possible they reached escape velocity and they aren't ever coming back down.

This coincides with what happened to me and another commander earlier on.. I hope it's not the case, but appears very likely some bug
