I am pleased to announce that I now have a Nemesis !! .. someone to kill on sight .. the little bleeder has killed me so many times ... I can hardly get a bead on him before he rips me apart ... I just tangled with him again (although I didn't know that until after the fact) .. I tried some fancy (if you're me ) rolling about, silent mode and flight assist off "run Away" tactics .... blighter still got me ... I salute you sir! ... I am loving every minute .. even getting smashed, repeatedly by the same guy (Loving that too ... "KAHHHHAAANNNNN !" - )

This CMDR must be loving it ... "Oh, there's Luniticisi again ... Ha ha ha ha! (I added the laughter as that is what I imagine, well ... it's what goes on in my head anyway ) "

I felt much the same when Yan and the inestimable Snuffler were toasting me in Alpha (I know name dropping isn't allowed, but in this case, they were great fun to play against).

I feel slightly guilty that I finally lost the plot, loaded up on missiles and emptied the whole rack at one of them, then laughed until my sides hurt.

Very childish, didn't show off anything other than my petulant silly behaviour, but the pilot I did it to logged back in, waggled his wings at me and left for other areas.

I am not sure of the rules but I don't think, in this sort of case, that naming pilots who you have enjoyed playing against could be classed as "Shaming" ... I do think this whole "Naming and Shaming" big no,no.. has got people scared to talk about the 'Great' interactions they have had with real players in the game, which I would like to see .. It would be useful to me to know that in CMDR [Any Name]'s eyes, I shot him for no reason whereas in my game, CMDR [Any Name] was marked as an enemy .. it would be good to be able to explain yourself, or be congratulated on a good win or valiant try.

I think as long as we are not labeling people with slurs, like "Greifer", "Cheater" and the like we're OK (Some clarification would be nice though)

Perhaps they read your signature and decided they were going to test your ability to bring law to the lawless.

I do think this whole "Naming and Shaming" big no,no.. has got people scared to talk about the 'Great' interactions they have had with real players in the game, which I would like to see ..!

We probably wouldn't be here if it hadn't been for the never ending number of threads created making negative references about individual players. I don't see a problem in saying you had a lot of fun playing a particular player.

This is one reason I cant wait for comms to come online... another is we can gang up on npc cargo haulers and split the cans.. or at least challenge friend or foe!! I have been spending a lot of time at resource sights, and I usually wont attack unless attacked first, but u know how that goes!!

The thing is ... it's fun ... testing a game can get tiresome. enjoying what we have is the way to go ... I am not a PvP player, but that's what we have at the moment ... so I am going to enjoy it ...

It will make me a better PvP player, It will make me think before attacking and add so much more to the experience ... other people can't spoil my experience .. it's all part of the "New" experience .. and it's pretty in fact I give the game

Why would it annoy me? If he pilots better than me good for him! If I make a mistake that allows him to kill me? Good for him!

After all, I put myself in the position to be able to be killed in the first place, not him.

He might have a lot of time to play while I'm in work or with my family, but I've got 30+ years on the little snot of games playing in general, and they made 'em hard when I was a lad

Yes and no! He has yet to realise that his quick reflexes will fade with time, leading into a steady decline as the years pile on, eventually leading to the horrors of IBS and a bladder with a mind of its own!

Plus people taking others out tend to get a name for themselves. Pretty soon they have to watch there back all the time. On balance the majority don t like bullies.

Not at all ... Someone else always has the "Extra" time to play computer games more than you ... a lot of times someone has played the game longer than you, and is better at it ...

This is the way of things ... you are not the best ... you can be beaten ... and you can always avoid fights ... ... the Man/Woman/Person who spends their time learning how to Fight,Trade and "Survive !" deserves to be better than me at what ever they trained in ...
