I think you already know this (reading through 300 pages takes a while...a long while...) but here are some images of the Ancient Relic. It seems to be layered for some reason:

Also congratulations to Cmdr xdeath for the amazing find! And keep up the good work guys, I try to help as much as I can.

Just saw on Drew's group on FB that he just celebrated 50,000 words on his new Elite novel by posting an interesting screenshot of the word count which also had a small slice of the novel visible and it referenced, alien life and organic materials. Remember his work is considered canon and a part of ED'S storyline. Exciting times ahead.

Hi CMDRs, I don't usually post on these things and I'm not entirely sure whether or not this is still relevant, considering how old this article actually was, but I'm currently sitting out at Ngolibardu(I think thats how its spelled, not too far from LHS 3447), and I found an article in the local news named the Ngolibardu Herald, with a partial data reconstruction and a sequence of numbers. The article was posted back in June though so it's most likely not relevant and probably from some old part of the ARG but just to be safe,

Sorry if this is a useless post lol

May be another nonogram :D. But without X-axis it is a speculation :(.

I think the numbers part was understood to represent the system where Jacques ended up.

Your x-only nonogram is reasonably close to the actual system, so maybe the other axis was hidden in another message:

Ooooooh!
Very interesting....

Just posting this here, and I didn't realise my previous reply was delayed due to spam filter.

If you assume the creator misread the digit 10, and the 'asteroids' are opposed, you can find meaningful data using the Arecibo message encoding. Still, I don't know if the link to Arecibo is incidental...

I am seriously confused by the groupings on the available dots, and the fairly limited permutations in terms of dot combos. Doesn't seem like it could hold much info.

CG has now been completed, hopefully this leads to something useful in the near future.

Woah, I didn't even get a chance to get over there yet, I was going to tonight! Ah well, missed that one, lol.

Hey cmdrs,

Here is some more brainfooder, stuff I'm working on and tinkering around with. It may help and give some more ideas.
As I state earlier, I still believe the whole site is a map. I took the map into a CAD. Took a reference measurement at the site. Distance between the centers of both round plateaus is 805 meters. Probably not worth anything right now. But I was able to draw to scale. For later dimension ratios and such.

Interesting is that both beacons closest to the bigger plateau are at the same distance as the 2 small three side pyramids. I marked it in the picture. Both ... huh ...coincident??

I hope it gives you guys and gals some more ideas. Let me know if someone needs anything specific done. I will keep tinkering around with circles and lines.

I've been working the map angle too, this will actually help me. Excellent work!

the new galnet article is interesting
looks like the imps have something new to worry about next to aliens
Galactic News: Patreus's Flagship Attacked:
Eyewitness reports from the Eotienses system indicate that an attack has taken place on Admiral Denton Patreus' flagship, the INV Imperial Freedom. The Majestic-class Interdictor was heavily damaged in the altercation and was ignominiously forced to withdraw from the field of combat.

An organisation known as the Children of Raxxla has claimed responsibility for the attack. In a statement, the organisation said it had been '"backed into a corner" after diplomatic entreaties regarding Kahina Loren – whom it referred to as Salomé – had gone unanswered.

The attack appears to have been a response to the 'guilty' verdict passed on Loren last week, and based on the assumption that she was aboard the INV Imperial Freedom. Vessels bearing Children of Raxxla markings were witnessed intercepting escape pods ejected from the beleaguered Interdictor.

The Children of Raxxla spokesperson said the group "harboured no ill will towards Patreus", and that "the guilty parties continue to lurk in the shadows".

Imperial security forces have condemned the attack, saying:

"This group has shown its true colours. Kahina Loren was known for inciting violence, and these terrorists are clearly intent on continuing her legacy."

The damage to the INV Imperial Freedom represents a blow to Admiral Patreus' ambitions to strengthen the Imperial fleet, exposing these battleships' vulnerability to attacks from well-organised independent forces.

Hey, author of the software here.
That's very generous of you but I don't take donations, that's something I did for fun (well, also because I wanted it) on my free time.

I already got some feedback from reddit and discord (namely missing obelisk data and proprietary composite not being handled) so I'll update the application tonight.

Feel free to fork the project or contribute, I'll gladly review pull requests :)

Does anyone know this guy? He should put up a donate button, I'm sure in!

but I can't edit my messages it seems (probably because new account)

The Ngolibardu Herald message is the same as the Fusang one from the same date.

The good thing is that System Herald articles don't drop off the list of local news, so the messages are still out there to be found and 'solved'.
Time for a zombie thread: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/276967-Solving-the-Jaques-Mystery

So, what stands out here, is that the "nonogram" idea is not a new one? I mean, not a 2.2 thing?

Welcome CMDR!
As I already written on reddit: you are a genius :)

Your app is the MISSING engineer tool!

Fly safe, code safer!

Yup, potentially there is another example out there hidden in Herald articles that we can compare with a known system.
If we can find it then maybe that'll help with things like which asteroid belt format to use at least.

Although it should be noted that the star isn't represented the same way, so any conclusions we draw should come with the usual tin-foiled pinch of salt.
