As I state earlier, I still believe the whole site is a map. I took the map into a CAD. Took a reference measurement at the site. Distance between the centers of both round plateaus is 805 meters. Probably not worth anything right now. But I was able to draw to scale. For later dimension ratios and such.

Interesting is that both beacons closest to the bigger plateau are at the same distance as the 2 small three side pyramids. I marked it in the picture. Both ... huh ...coincident??

I hope it gives you guys and gals some more ideas. Let me know if someone needs anything specific done. I will keep tinkering around with circles and lines.

Hagbard, can you check some measurements for me from your CAD file? I had previously measured the following distances myself, can you get the same measurements from your CAD file?

- Distance between center of large pad to peak of "north" pyramid (I calculated about 330m)
- Distance between center of small pad to peak of "north" pyramid (I calculated about 1249m)

I have a theory about the ruins being a map to a second ruins site using the large pad as the location of the current ruins, and the peak of the north pyramid as Sol. I believe the small pad marks the system COL 173 SECTOR KY-Q D5-47 but so far my attempts to prove it have not been entirely convincing. It's very frackin close, which makes me wonder if my shoddy measurements are simply my issue with getting it all to line up. For example, you measure the distance between pad centers as 805m where I figured it out to be 793m, and honestly my map lines up so closely that a very small error either way could be my only problem here, lol.

I too have been approaching it as a map...But man i sure can't get any of the points...beacons, artifacts or Obelisk to match up to any of the 88 constellations

It's been a bit frustrating but i am also really enjoying the research even if it doesn't lead to anything

Just found an Unregistered Comms Beacon next to the Canonn Institute and Planet A 1 in COL 285 Sector IX-T D3-43. I dropped into the instance at 17:08 UTC and no transmission was detected. I had to leave at 17:13 UTC and still no transmission. Are FDev trolling the Canonn? :)

Okay here, I measured

- Distance between center of large pad to peak of "north" pyramid (I calculated about 330m) = 341
- Distance between center of small pad to peak of "north" pyramid (I calculated about 1249m) = 1135

But again I got the distance between the pads with my SRV while the Asp was on the big pad. So it can be off as well. But it looks pretty close between the both of our calculations/measurements.
If i only can get a picture of the map without perspective distortions and a clear reference distance, it could be done way more accurately.

Hi guys (it's my first post here) ! I don't if anyone already talk about this one but there is an Unregistered Comms Beacon next to Novas A6 where the Mystery Request is going to happen tomorrow ! I'll let you know if I hear a transmission.

ok so no transmission at the Unregistered Comms Beacon next to Novas A6 from 17.45 pm to 18.15 pm , i guess this one will have to wait till tomorrow for maybe give something anyway :eek:

Damn, I flew around specifically looking for extra details like these, and completely missed them. I could blame the angle of the sun, and in my head I will, but as far as the forum is concerened I'll just congratulate you on your superior observational skills.
