Ladies & Gents, you've got 12 hours to engineer.

Good Luck, Fly Dangerous...

Seems like a good time for a trip out to Colonia. Oh, look, I'm already there :D

I believe they were added in one of the server maintenance periods as the one at the moon was deff not there a few days ago. I reckon they were found within a day or two of being placed.

I think FD realised we couldn't decode the bottom left part of the nonogram because it was ambiguous and gave us extra clue.

Very interesting Zen :) I thought of the same thing when I saw the screenshots from the crash site. Especially the one depicting the torn hull of the human ship, but without any burn marks. As if it was done by a huge claw. I certainly believe that those alien ships, apart from the longer range weapons they may have, they also boast a melee attack capability....

The T9 on the hill still has a "blade" sticked in. Large scars in the annies. Everyone downed together on this moon.Seems clear the lobster made a massacre Krull-type. No sign of fight on the lobsters. Its not a ship, it's a projectile IMHO.

Given that we found this site because of various numbers stations in inhabited space, I think it's safe to assume that there is at least one other human organizations who knows about it, and who probably would have already carted off any bodies for study.

Someone knows and want us to know, but who is it?

- The Dark Wheel/CEIP?
- Kahina?
- Revoulution Inc.?
- The Alliance?

And did they knowingly target the Canonn with these clues?

My bet is Ms. Loren, especially after her Beagle Point speech and then specifically coming back to Prism and all chaos ensuing. Which would also mean the Dark Wheel.

I took a look at an overhead view is the 3rd crash site again this morning. There are 5 crashed ships in addition to the non-human ship.

That posting of The Glaive from Krull got me to thinking about the shape of an intact alien ship. It looks like it has 5 arms or claws. It it does look similar to a starfish, then did it lash out and snare these 5 ships AT THE SAME TIME? There was a struggle and the alien ship crashes, bringing the 5 ships down with it. That's why the smashed alien ship with a debris field around it, and the other ships are slammed INTO the ground, one T9 embedded side on halfway up a mountain!

Think Krakens and Giant Squids, dragging ships into the deep ocean.

Now THAT is the kind of enemy I want to see. :)

Whilst we're on the topic of Dangerous; Novas is likely to be a little hot this evening, very attractive for the regular ne'er-do-wells. Hardpoints deployed at all times, shields up and be ready to stand in defence of your fellow pilots if needed. Wing-up where possible.

Do bring:
Lasers, Mutli Cannons, Shields & Boosters; to deter trouble and add to the fireworks when necessary.

Don't bring:
Cargo or KWS; so as to avoid attracting trouble.
Hundred-Million-CR ships; to avoid the pain of inevitable rebuys.

Interesting last sentence in the official Galnet article:

"Commentators have observed that the ship bears no apparent signs of weapon damage, and that the concentrated debris field suggests the vessel was still intact when it hit the planet's surface."

Ya hard to shoot when your ships computer is rebooting...

Heads up, open play, 2 clippers at comm beacon going to take force if we want to get the transmission.

just play in mobius or solo. then hope back in to open once you have got the recording. its what im gonna do.

probably will. I'd be fine with it if there was a reason for my 17m rebuy but with no comms, no warning, nothing. Just what is the point. Awwh well, i've got money to burn anyway. rant over.

for clarification this is the novas beacon, the one pegged for the galnet post and a transmission at 1605.

Even in mobius, sec forces moving in to the area, possibly going to cordon off the beacon.

Gather a wing, head back. Surely there are 4 CMDRs ready to deal with this...?

If not, I'll be over in a bit.

EDIT: Not 'soon' though. Quite a distance away with a short-jump Vulture atm...

Of that list, Lady Kahina is the least likely.
The Children of Raxxla's current thinking is that some authority behind the scenes is pulling strings to remove pieces from the board.
The CEO of Metadrive, Femi Dakarai, committed suicide (was murdered) after financial irregularities raised by Sirius Corp.
Cmdr Raan Corsen runs with Metadrive data and is chased by unknown pursuers to Alioth, where he crashes.
Senator Kahina Loren, also known as Salomé, is detained in Cemiess. Stripped of her title of Senator. Sent to her home system for a trial. Trial is held behind closed doors where she's sent to a prison at the far end of Empire space. She's effectively silenced.
Sirius Corp buy up Metadrive and it's new drive tech at a huge discount.

Salomé is always warning to be wary of politics between the superpowers, and concentrate on the mysteries outside of humanity's local area.
UAs, UPs, Barnacles, crashed alien ships, ancient ruins, whispers about the faraway EAFOTS sector... these are the things to concentrate on.
