hip 17403 a4 a i think should be given a real good searching, ive been finding quite a lot of double crators and other anaymolous geographical oddities i saw from supercruise to warrant a further look.
Rep for you to CMDR,

It's just a shame that we took so long (cutting the guys at FDev some slack!) to find the beacons at Cannon & Moon.

UAs are killing the alien ships.
UAs are guardians that keep these ships confined to the inside of the shell.
They scan for ships, but they don't care about our ships. They are seek and destroy probes in a war humans are not part of.

I believe they were added in one of the server maintenance periods as the one at the moon was deff not there a few days ago. I reckon they were found within a day or two of being placed.
I'm not looking recognition, I meant to do a remark about how it's difficult to follow the thread sometimes and check if something has already been tested and/or proposed.
Small Step Giant Leap Doom follows[/I][/SIZE]
That's the next step...
Rest of the system scans fine, to lock it in space i have to lock it on the system map, and on the system map its blacked out ( not previously scanned either) in the left hand nav panel for the a sun bodies there are 4 out of the main 6 planets selectible, the a1 , a4 and a4 moon are affected
Given that we found this site because of various numbers stations in inhabited space, I think it's safe to assume that there is at least one other human organizations who knows about it, and who probably would have already carted off any bodies for study.I was just going to ask if we should read anything into the lack of bodies in the crashed ships. Or maybe FDev has a policy against showing dead bodies?
If someone is interested, on Nova 6 there is a Beacon without signals, but it start to being full of security ships.
Just wanted to chip in with a congrats to CMDR Rampant who was the first to suggest the lower left nonogram could be Braille - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...9-The-Canonn?p=4714255&viewfull=1#post4714255 - 140 pages and 5 days ago!

While it's natural to read that as a warning should we continue to unravel such mysteries, in this particular instance it may also be more simple. We followed the clues to a site with a number of crashed/dead ships. It's not our doom that followed, but theirs we were witness to.Good morning everyone, brave CMDRs!
In this fine morning, let me remember you this:
Small Step Giant Leap Doom follows
It occurred to me this morning that the UA's were not being carried by the ship;
We know the UA's scan any ship within a certain proximity - We know the UA's are corrosive - Maybe theyre a bio weapon designed to target the ships we see in the crash site.
As to why, I don't know, just throwing it out there so as not to automatically assume that the ship was carrying the UA's.

I´m sorry that I sometimes come here and throw in wild speculations and theories only.
I know that isn´t very scientific, but to me it is a big fun part of the game and maybe any of them prove right or help the real scientists to find their truth.
I have a feeling that those crab like alien beings usually (alife) are having something, that we haven´t seen yet.
It possibly looks like a transparent sphere that is positioned in the big center dell. I think this has already speculated by others too, so it is not originally my thought.
However. That sphere is the energetic center of the being and it is able to emit high energy flashes (with emp?) of a great destruction potential.
The federation has noticed that and begun hunting those critters for harvesting their nova globes for analyzing and if possible copying that potential weapon technology.
In reality these beings are a constructed life form made by the guardians. Their mission is to observe a dedicated part of space and report back to their creators, if a triggering event happens.
And with reporting back I mean.. they´d travel to the obelisk ancient ruins site and flash their spheric flashes, which activates the giant transportation machine that is capable of catapulting them to the ancient place of Raxxla, where the guardians have their controlling base.
So the crab aliens are digged in at several dusty rocks and sometimes come up to launch probes (the unknown artefacts). The artefacts report to Merope 5C, where the barnacle receives the data and transmits it into subspace, where the guardians can gather the informations all together.
This means all the other barnacle locations are also potential relay stations, they are just not being used at the moment because of strategic reasons.
The unknown probes are coming from the Thargoids, which do their own observations trying to find suitable ammonia planets for their invasion strategy.
So basically, our next tasks are a couple of community goals to work through the archeologic site, digging it out maybe step by step..
and after all we need to get in contact with the crab species to ask them (friendly or by brutal force) to open the Guardians gate for us, because the Thargoids are coming to get their revenge.
The guardians btw. are those who shut down the intergalactic travelling because they´ve seen what we did to the Thargoids. They don´t want species to extinct each others, so they´ve separated the two dominating star travelling civilizations into separate galaxies. [woah]
Quote from the Raxxla Theories https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/168253-The-Quest-To-Find-Raxxla :
There's gonna be fireworks!thanks for the heads up, will have to bring something with a bit of firepower. just in case.
I took a look at an overhead view is the 3rd crash site again this morning. There are 5 crashed ships in addition to the non-human ship.
That posting of The Glaive from Krull got me to thinking about the shape of an intact alien ship. It looks like it has 5 arms or claws. It it does look similar to a starfish, then did it lash out and snare these 5 ships AT THE SAME TIME? There was a struggle and the alien ship crashes, bringing the 5 ships down with it. That's why the smashed alien ship with a debris field around it, and the other ships are slammed INTO the ground, one T9 embedded side on halfway up a mountain!
Think Krakens and Giant Squids, dragging ships into the deep ocean.
