So I'm giggling to myself thinking 'lol we already have Engineers, now we seem to be looking at bioweapons, hmmm this is kinda reminding me of a film...' when I dock at Toxandji; it's a high tech station with all the ads showing inside and one of the ads dead in front of my pad was the 'achilles' one. If you've seen it you'll know why I just cracked up.

Lucky you! I got the Core Dynamics one. On the upside, I'm glad I took my iCourier. Enhanced Thrusters are just too much fun and this cargo CG is perfect for it.

Josh Hawkins published a new outstanding video about our latest discovery:

It's going on the FP as well.

It seems to me the brightest minds in the Galaxy have all gathered here on this thread.

It's really hard and unfair to blame FD for their amazing puzzles, seen whom they have to deal with :D

Almost like a hive mind.

Now I get, it, Canonn members are the Thargoids.

virocide is used to kill a virus ... meaning the virus took out the thargoid organic drives, and a virocide would kill the virus and restore the drives ... allow the thargoids to come back and make us "pay for what we did". Possible the virus hurt more thane their drives! Probably did damage to the organic thargoid being itself.

What Thargoids will think in the moment when we lift the virus from them and they can actually take revenge on us for all the things we probably did to them:

You might be right, they are probally not happy about what we did in the past and now in the present. Time to transport some Anti-Thargoiditus.

Yep. And since (i think it was Salomé) people said, that the Thargoids are in fact not really the aggressors, i guess it's a coverup against alien lifeforms. And IIRC, the driving force behind that was the Empire...

Toxandji Virocide is described as the Virus itself. My guess is still, that "we" were the aggressors...

The choice is yours surely! You dont need permission!

Well, you know, I'm not really into building bio weapons that could wipe up or cure for the Thagoids, which could delete us as well. The point of this CG is too big mistery can potentially be leathal. After what I've seen on trailers and gamescom video and read here in this and Formidine Rift threads I have a strong feeling that we need to arm and upgrade our ships, gather some credits for rebuys and make our decisions very carefully, because it looks like "winter is comming".....

Accurate!! And i hope so!! I want to have aliens in the game asap. Perhaps im being reckless? tehehehe

I guess it will be like the agents in the Matrix.
In the beginning, the elusive beast will destroy anyone with ease. Later on confrontation with them will become a routine. :)

I'm not sure who are the masterminds who put together (at FDev) and then solve these puzzles, but respect to all those involved!

Hello folks, a favour to ask of the community and that of Canonn Research.

I've been feeling the need to better join in and, in a way, contribute a bit more - to both the community and the game universe. I've thought about doing some small, monthly, free publications that will be downloadable via e-Book (kindle) - in a way, this keeps me writing a bit of sci-fi and give back to the community, but also gives me another hobby to occupy myself with.

I have many fun ideas to turn this publication into a sort of condensed newsletter (with some fun surprises I don't want to spoil, but the publication will be treated as something you "could"/"would" read in 3302) - filled with the news with various writers (including myself) putting their own spin on things.

This may sound like "the news and happenings" as Obsidian Ant does in his videos (whom I'm a great fan of myself), but the free publications is intended to be more sci-fi/fictional as stuff happens in the game - rather than news about Elite in real life. I'm a self-publisher, and have many years of experience in this field myself - so publishing is not a problem, and getting the files ready (either in PDF or Kindle format) is no problem (though kindle files may come later as they can be a problem with lots images) shouldn't be a problem. I can spell check, grammar check, do the covers (see below, took 1.5hrs to do) and add images throughout.

The first issue I want to focus on as a starter issue is the Bioships - I love the look of them as I'm sure everyone else does.

So many people have provided so much great stuff in this thread alone, I would like to ask you - the community and Canonn - for your blessings in adding your images/research into the first test publication. The content will range from loads of people and theories - and I'm aware that not everyone keeps up all the time with how fast the threads go - so unless you can personally contact me via these forums and PM me, I will refer to most stuff in the articles as "Canonn Researchers" to generalize content etc.

Be aware, I won't be able to cram everything in if I get a lot of responses - I'm aiming for a decent, short magazine ranging from between 10-20 pages of content (practically all fictional in the Elite universe) - so I'll do my best to make an enjoyable read for your kindles/e-readers if I can get the next steps done:

I'll have to also ask Frontier permission above all else - but as I'm out with my other half and daughter tonight for fireworks night, I'd thought asking you guys and girls first would be one step further until I get back later on tonight.

So - what I want to know is this, peoples! Can I use the Canonn threads and community bits and bobs (images/theories ((backed up by names if possible))/) to make free online publications? Also - if you provide content (short stories/news stories), I will add your spydo-names (however it is spelled - fame name, like Rowling - sorry, dyslexic, and firefox spell checker is bad) or real names (whatever you prefer) to the pages inside the magazine (in its own section before/after the copyright page).

Next step - I'll try and get into contact with Frontier themselves and get their blessings.

Below is the potential front cover for this month's issue :)

Thanks all!

CMDR Dreamstate.

P.S. There will be a small "In association with..." stamp just above the Canonn logo... ^^ oops!

I got my new HOTAS yesterday, and ill be damned if im gonna spend my saturday moving 6 units at a time for an outcome that could go either way, for an organization that won't so who it is or what it wants, and when it is this        g fun to fly with a HOTAS ... OFF TO THE RES! Let me know when we figure out who or what we are working for, and ill make a decision then.

Finally I've arrived at the latest alien crash site! Looks very spooky... To me it looks like the ships didn't end up there all at the same time. At least 1 ship is almost gone, others seem to very in deterioration. What could've happened? Was the alien ship first, where the Unknown Probes first and did the other ships honk their ADS near the UP's and crash? Or was there a huge fight?

There was a lot of scoopable cargo on the crash site, to me mostly food related: I've found beer, gold, algae, liquor, fish, fruit and vegetables, animal meat, food cartridges and of course UP's. Maybe the UP's are the viruses for the Aliens, and the Alien ship tried to prevent the other ships to spread out more UP's all over the galaxy.

A few images behind the spoiler block:
