Ships Best and Worst ships in ED (Semi serious)

I mostly agree on the worst one with the exception of Hauler, which found it's purpose as a cheapo starter explorer and/or a disposable taxi due to it's decent range. The Keelback should have taken the Hauler's spot on that list, imo.

I'm really struggling to like the vulture. On paper it should be better in every way to the courier, but somehow it just isn't.

Vultue wins hands down over iCourier for me - I think it boils down to flying style.

Indeed. The Courier is better if you like flying with the speed advantage. Vulture is a super maneuverable tank with better firepower, but you're not outrunning or chasing down anything with it. As it's also brick shaped and relatively easy to hit, and you can't boost out of anyone's range to avoid getting cascade railed when you bank, this makes the Courier much better for PvP imho.

I'm a shield tanker. I hate my shields going down, which is probably the end of the discussion for me. As soon as the vulture's drop the canopy is cracking. Way too stressy! With a couple of burst lasers and a missle rack the courier can stay in a res all afternoon!

Kind doesn't make sense, since Missiles are a finite thing and deplete rather quickly lol :p

It really is combat style. In the vulture I can fly right up any ship's ***hole and stay there hammering at it nonstop until it explodes. It's rare for me to ever have to actually stop firing once I latch on. If I position right, I never get a scratch.

In contrast, I have to do a lot more fore-play with the iCourier.

Correct.

The Vulture is a strong ship for newer players that want their ship to do a lot of the work for them.

The iCourier takes more skill to master but such a small/fast ship with the shields it gets means that with a bit more work it's a formidable weapon.
