We tried, but they kept getting hiveractive on the biscuits & running off with the sugar cubes
I ve gone to Caeli scuti and the system is interesting but how to know its the right one for more ruins.... I can't event find geysers on planets with them so ruins.....

Yes you can scan them at every new instance (they might be some time to wait but not that long).
I obviously cannot speak for Tiayviel but my guess is that he bothered because like you, he has no hard evidence, but unlike you, he did not justify his lack of evidence to advocate banning discussion of the matter here.
That is your judgment - and that of others here, I am sure - but there are others, like Tiayviel and me, who have a different appraisal of the matter. So as long as we disagree - and I am sure we all agree that we are free to disagree with each other -, surely it is the most sensible course to continue allowing discussion here, right? Discussion is part of science, and like you, I am enjoying arguing about different aspects of a subject.
P.S.: Not every participant of this thread is member of Canonn, and as long as everyone stays on-topic (and since there is no agreement whether the discussion of the CG is on- or off-topic), there is no need (nor a way) to limit this thread to Canonn, right?

I am a white American male born into the middle-class, so i am quite used to the world catering to my standpoint, and all this talk of biscuits is making me feel out of place. Abondoned alien research base.
Hi CMDR's i found this research base in star system: HR 5991 after scanning some listening posts and triangulate the positione. It is located on the second moon of first planet (HR 5991 1b) lat 33.47, long -2.17. You can find there some damaged abondoned base. There is data link there with some corrupted data and also the strange message: Part 1.„ It was there a few days ago I swear. Doctor Lewis said I'm lucky ot to be fired for dragging them all out here. But it was right here, the proof that they exist. Someone must be messing with me . There is no way taht much data can be corrupted without leaving a trace. This can't be right. There seems to be a signal hidden in the corrupted data. I didn't see it before, and if the data hadn't been ruined I mignt never have seen it... Part.2 I found It, they'll all think I'm crazy but I found it. It's definitely not a natural signal or background noise. I've run evey test I can thinik of and they all confirm it's not natural or humain in origin. .. Part 3. I did it, I told Doctor Lewis and this time I had a proof. Everyone seened really excited about it. Doctor Levis is sending speciial report to command.... Part 4 Cleaner team 26 reporting in. Company Directive 3650 in effect. All data regarding research project under Doctor Lewis is now classified. Al assets have been processed.
Also there are some strange sounds being heard there. Maybe this is this signal. I was unable to find out more, maybe You will.

Has anyone tried to reconstruct the alien vessels using the visible parts from the wreck sites? I don't possess such skills but from what I have seen/read on the threads it may be that someone else does. We could get an idea of size and profile.

Yes, a couple of people have done that, with varying degrees of success/believability

I was examining the wreck in HIP 17403 yesterday for quite a while. They (the alien wrecks) definitely look organic, very shellfish-like. I think it's possible that the "ship" is actually a creature of some kind, maybe like the Battlestar Galactica enemy fighters turned out to be alive. Or they could be grown, as you suggest, and piloted by a creature. There are no dead bodies in any of the ships, so it's hard to say if there was a pilot or not.
It's all quite fascinating.

The other CG which was ACTUALLY ABOUT CANONN STUFF, the Appeal for Ancient Data, was primarily discussed in the CG thread for it. It occupied a page, page and a half, here at most.

If it turns out that I am wrong, and this has everything to do with Thargoids, I will happily eat my words. If it turns out I am right I will gloat about it. Take it one step further, the ship needs no pilot, it is a sentient being and bred for missions. UA's could be spawned by the ship as needed for a purpose. There are no traditional exits/entries to the ship that I could see. We could be looking at a scout vessel as it's not very large.
Further, even in its' current state, my ship was scanned on approach so some of the wreck's systems are on-line. If they can scan, they possibly can transmit.
Assume it's a scout, it's on a recce mission, scouts collect information and try to avoid contact with other ships, who knows how many of these are around that haven't been seen.
Good military strategy requires good intel on your opponent, strengths, weaknesses, quality of equipment, concentration of resources, supply lines, political alignments, internal warfare, etc. This rash of finds may be indicative of a ramping up of intel gathering before an overt act.
Are they peaceful or war-like, or maybe as xenophobic as we are? Stay tuned.
