Engineers Exquisite Focus Crystals cannot be found

in the past 3 days, i have visited 20 different stations in boom states. spent about 30 hours of mission bulletins refreshing. not a single mission with Exquisite Focus Crystals for rewards.
sure if it was a day or 2 i would accept it as bad luck with RNG but taking 30 hours and not a single one is kinda over the top.
can the spawn rates for Exquisite Focus Crystals be buffed? 30 hours and nothing is just too unbalanced.

Same with other rare stuff like the modified embedded firmware. But on the other hand you get tons of biotech conductors if you want. [wacko]

Well,      then. Even if that does work, it's a stupid system, but if even that doesn't work, I don't know what to say. I'm currently living with class 4 charge enhanced because I can't mode swap, so I didn't want to bother.

They are pretty stinking rare. I usually check missions on every station I visit, just in case there is a mission rewarding one.

Again, another rant thread.... You lots should really read Bug report subforums a bit more before posting threads like this one.

Reason why you cant see any EFC is because its bugged.... Because bunch of passager missions came out, tons of usual missions got bugged out with more than few issues, like 0 credits payouts or worse, only Biotech conductors being offered as reward instead of rest materials.... FDdevs are aware about it, so there is hope if next patch comes in.

Really shouldn't blame the players or posters here. Where is FDev? They could simply post a sticky saying "yep, we of bug xyz". But instead they've gone quiet, dead quiet. Why? They're lack of community communication and engagement skills never ceases to amaze.

You need to be at Elite or Deadly + to be offered EFC missions, I'm at Deadly + 26% and I've collected about 6 since engineers dropped and thats chasing engineer stuff on a daily basis.

Ok im gona tell you what I did to get these and other very rare materials, I haven't shared this with anyone in fear of they gona nerf it.

There is a system called 14 i orionis, and in that system on planet "14 i orionis 9" there is station there, called "RAWN WORKS".

They offer a lot of courier and transportation missions there, and very easy ones, only thing that really could be hard is that strong gravity, so recommend having a docking computer if you gona dock with a heavy ship and don't use a large ship, most of the mission can't be completed with a large ship. Im using an ASP with maxed out cargo.

go to "Solo play" check missions, then go to "Private group" and last "Openplay" and if there is no material you need there after these 3 checks, log out, wait 10 minutes, and do it all again, I got a lot of very rare materials here, Exquisite Focus Crystals as well.

But have you seen any EFCs since 2.2 came out?

I certainly haven't and my rank is deadly and I'm allied with all but one faction in a system that's in boom where I found some in 2.1

TBH I'm not sure as most of my ships have been upgraded to L4 and L5 PD's that and a lack of cracked industrial firmware for L5 DDT and L5 charge enhanced PD means I haven't been looking that hard but I haven't seen any recently I'll admit.

edit I'm currently looking for reinforced mounting plates but the mission rewards I'm getting are the kind of commodities that can be bought nearby or even in system. anyone else getting the same trend?

You know reinforced mounting plates can be bought?

No one has seen an EFC since 2.2 drop AFAIK, it is a bug.

no you dont, btw who told you that?
i have 2 accounts , one elite (combat) and one harmless (for storage) while i got the credits for a T9 for the storage account i got 2 crystals , on my main 3 since 2.1.
so its random and rare

What! they can be bought????? ;) yeah but I can't be asped going 120+ LY in an FGS to get them so I've been checking systems around Alioth and just finding a lot of mission rewards that could be bought locally, makes me wonder if FD have changed the mission rewards to reflect the local system commodities.

All the missions that I've had for EFC's have been ranked at Elite but were just accessible because I was deadly +

Ahh an FGS, now I understand ;)

The mission rank is just a difficulty guide, harmless CMDRs can take Elite missions.
