Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

I know this question has been asked before and I thought I'd understood it, but I have a problem with Visited Star Systems and wondered what could possibly cause this issue.

Where have 451 Star Systems been imported from?

In game when I set VISITED/NOT VISITED STAR SYSTEMS, there are systems I've supposed to have visited but are yet to be explored, which is impossible. For example you can see here that LHS 2848 has yet to be explored, yet it's shown as a VISITED SYSTEM.

Should I raise this as a Game bug, or is something else going on?

NOTE; I also have EDDiscovery, EDMC and EDDI running, is this a game bug or a tool bug?

No, I think it's my fault in your case!

TCE is checking all star system entries, if they have a state of knowledge value (e.g. visited/scanned/explored). You have added a state to systems through the Navigation panel, without visiting them and
therefore more systems are going into the output, as it should. The list is now generated from the logbook entries, which removes the issue.

To remove the false cache data from ED, you have to remove the files "VisitedStarsCache.dat" and "ImportStars.txt.imported"
from "C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Your FolderID".

Update (1.4.1.4) released:

Changelog:
- Added russian translation, selectable at the launcher for ED and TCE.
- Added update of verification and repair routine for stored locations.
- Added a switch to deactivate the automatic UI removal on interdictions to the Options panel.
- Fixed another error, when deleting a market.
- Fixed an error at the position display, when trying to show security information.
- Fixed some issues with the Cargo panel and commodity identification.
- Fixed an issue with the station visits display, not updating properly.
- Fixed an issue, showing empty remains of the event reporter info bars.
- Fixed an issue when modifying the current market's name, not updating the location info properly, resulting in a "false market" message on connect.
- Fixed an issue exporting visited star systems to ED that where not visited.

Note:
Copy all files and folders from the update into your TCE installation folder to update your version.

I have added alot more phrases to the TCE translation project for the interface, which covers mainly all event reporter messages.
Anyone, who wants to help in translating the new phrases, please check out the TCE Interface translation page.

Thanks.

I've deleted those files quit and restarted ED, installed 1.4.1.4 but the issue remains the same as reported above. Is this possibly due to the fact that once they have been set as visited then you're unable to revert that change?

AFAIK, you have to remove all files from your ID folder, where the VisitedStarsCache.dat resides. Start ED first and it is creating an empty file again.
Then start TCE 1.4.1.4 and when the UI appears, quit TCE and you will see a new file at the folder call ImportStars.txt.
When you start now ED again, it should report the number of star systems, that got imported, otherwise it would show the number of duplicates.

Otherwise I don't know, how to reset the data by other means. Here is the thread for this feature:

Cheers, that has fixed it.

Are you saying that TCE automatically creates the file 'ImportStars.txt' which will then be imported into ED when ED is started up? If so I didn't realise that you had implemented this :)

If not then I suppose we could create an import file ourselves from the public_stars database file.

I've had a look at the relevant files (apart from the cache which is unreadable) and as well as my 'ImportStars.txt' file (which is empty) there is also a file 'ImportStars.txt.imported' - which is presumably those stars which ED has already imported into the game. However it appears that the stars in this file are incorrect as there are many I have been nowhere near. Where would the 'ImportStars.txt.imported' files have come from? Did TCE create it? If it were TCE then it has created an incorrect file for import. Eventure, perhaps you could confirm whether I am on the right lines or not........

or have I totally lost the plot :S:S:S

The 'ImportStars.txt.imported' is created by ED after reading the ImportStars.txt on start. ED will check the file, when the import happens, if the imported star system name was already imported. ED will then show the number of duplicates, it has detected.
TCE creates the populated ImportStars.txt file on quiting (through the UI).

hey Eventure, just wanna say again thanks for all the hard work on this tool :) its awesome

I made a post the other day but because it was my first post it was held back to be checked by forum owners and so i dont if you got to see/read it but since i'm getting another error, i thought i'd try again.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

on both errors it was after dropping passengers off and trying to remove the undefined cargo from cargo list in TCE

thanks again for all the hard work on this great tool :)

I just upgraded from 1.4.1.3 to .1.4 and something bad has happened to my database... It has lost all my market data.

Also, I have collected some ancient artifacts from the ruins wherever they are, and the cargo window reports unknown item and then errors.

Once the bugs have been ironed out of the new release, is it on the roadmap to add outfitting tracking of the new passenger modules and huge weapons? I would also love to be able to track if a station has a bounty broker as well. This could be an added icon to the station services. Thank you very much for all your hard work!

Not sure if you want rare goods reported also ?

{ "timestamp":"2016-11-13T04:59:10Z", "event":"MarketBuy", "Type":"kamitracigars", "Count":8, "BuyPrice":1555, "TotalCost":12440 }

Show in TCE as Special Cargo.

Since rares are recorded with the stations, couldn't they show in Commodity and in Trade-Best buy searches ?

First of all, you have a backup at the backup folder of TCE, nothing is lost.
Please check, if the Resource.db database holds 183 items, displayed at the Database window of the Launcher.
If there is the number present, I require the Journal log for the session.

If EDMC will provide the new outfittings, TCE will automatically add the new types to the database, so they become trackable. Please use the notes to add the broker info to a market.
An icon may follow later, but would require additional changes to the databases etc., also the unregistered market data won't hold that info. Therefore add the info to the note for the moment.

Now that planet composition is stored in Cartography, is there/are you planning for a way to search for materials ?

You can already, select the button before the search field to change from Body Name to Composition.

Okay, found the issue with rares. Will be fixed with the next release.

Rares won't show up at the Commodity panel, but they are displayed at the list of Exports at the Trade Overview or Navigation panel.
Will add only discovered rares to the dropdown list (at the bottom) for Best Buy, so you can easily select the market as your destination.

I made a post the other day but because it was my first post it was held back to be checked by forum owners and so i dont if you got to see/read it but since i'm getting another error, i thought i'd try again.

Because I didn't own a Beluga Liner myself, when loading passengers, did they create the undefined cargo? The journal log for the session may help here.
Deleting an undefined cargo will be fixed with the next release, but I will change TCE so it will show now only identified goods at the Cargo panel.

Update (1.4.1.5) released:

Changelog:
- Added missing german translations.
- Added increased bar width to have enough space for translations at the Event Reporter panel.
- Added auto-adjust of bar width in relation of the font size at the Event Reporter panel
- Fixed an issue with rare commodities and the Cargo panel.
- Fixed an error with undefined cargo. TCE will only show now identified cargo at the Cargo panel.
- Fixed an error when saving a rare commodity entry at the Wares Database panel.

Note:
Copy all files and folders from the update into your TCE installation folder to update your version.

I have added alot more phrases to the TCE translation project for the interface, which covers mainly all event reporter messages.
Anyone, who wants to help in translating the new phrases, please check out the TCE Interface translation page.

Changing the Value of a Rare Good produces this error. Checked DB change was't made, quite and restarted TCE change still not made, I then manually updated it in the DB it's self.

Cool.

In the PERSONAL WINDOW - Active Bounties are being displayed incorrectly. As you can see below, however I don't have any bounties Active or Dormant and I've checked at Broker Network.

i'm not sure if this is what your looking for ??

on both occasions I got the errors i had received commodity reward items, first nanobreakers then yesterday it was cooling hoses, i sold them off and then tried to remove undefined cargo from cargo panel. on receiving the commodity reward i'm sure i got an event panel thing saying undefined cargo then "coolinghoses" yesterday and "nanobreakers" the other day. So maybe it was the commodity reward and not the passengers giving the error ?

hope this helps :) thanks again for your hard work on this great addition to ED :)

hi Eventure

hide / unhide tce now it's ok
yesterday I found these two bugs:
1) if you jump from one system to another without docking, TCE, after a while, shows the message "please wait" and does not recognize the system and the station. you must to close TCE, and ending in .exe process folders process.
2) Today I deleted a station entered twice in the database, TEC returning this message: (see attached file)

thank you
