What other games do you recommend?

So, since we are here, we all a bit of the same tase when it comes to video games, right? So, apart from ED, what are your favorite VR games, and why?

Only got my CV1 the other week but thoroughly enjoying these two currently:

Assetto Corsa - Sim Racing game (what I mainly bought the Rift for), very smooth and works brilliantly, immersions is immense!

War Thunder - Decent free to play Flight Sim with Arcade Mode so it's very easy to pick up and get going quickly.

Along with ED, I play Project Cars for sim racing, Gears of War for some FPS and finally a bit of time playing Dreadnought beta.
All good games.

I also had a go with Star Citizen during the free play week ... potentially a great game but a long way to go still.

Star Citizen with VorpX? Was it useable, in terms of using menus, etc.? There are games like the free "DCS" where VR works out of the box, but controls are simply not designed for vr.

Vivecraft mod: Minecraft for the Vive.

I've long played "ultra hard core" difficulty (hardcore with no health regeneration) in Minecraft. First time I played this on the Vive on regular survival difficulty, I had flashbacks to my first days in Minecraft way back in Beta 1.5. Caving and being out at night was terrifying. Not to mention claustrophobic.

I think Luckys Tale really showed what VR can do for a platformer. It's great.

The new game Rooms VR is a wonderful Tim Burtonesque puzzler.

I like War a Thunder, but I'm not sure how to get the VR running well on it. It wasn't designed for it so a little clunky.

Eagle Flight is Ubisoft first VR built game. It's very fun, but a little expensive.

The launch lineup with Oculus Touch looks great, easecially Robo Recall.

I found Eagle Flight too expensive, so I didn't try it. From the videos I've seen, the graphics looked quite simple as well. That true?

Robo Recall looks great. I pre-ordered the Touch controllers a few weeks ago. They'll ship in December. They put "The Unspoken" and "VR Sports Challenge" into the box for pre-orderers.

Well, on the same level of pure awesomeness and detail you should definitely try DCS (free) with the A-10C DLC. Drop dead awesome. Now, the learning curve on that thing is STEEP (just an hour to get through the engine start-up sequence, but so worth it). I'm a flight sim nut, and flight simming has just become so much better.
In the same vein (flight sim) and also really, really well done is AeroFly FS 2 (I'm biased here because I live in Switzerland, and it comes with a Swiss scenery that includes my RL home base).

I also find myself playing Space Pirate Trainer a lot (especially with my godson who beats me hands-down because he moves much quicker than I do, and has an instinctive understanding how the siel works). Oh, and when I want to use my Vive I usually have to pry it off my partner's unyielding head. She immerses herself in Tilt Brush. She's an Illustrator by profession and regularly loses herself inside a new drawing she's... constructing.

All are vive titles, so your mileage may vary.

I've been fortunate enough to visit Switzerland 4 times so AeroFly maybe worth checking out for me, thanks for the tip :)

The Golf Club is pretty good. It's the best golf I've ever played. You really feel like your on the course. I also still go back to Space Pirate Trainer. The new update let's you play with dual voltrons (batons) Daredevil style with no guns. Real action hero stuff. My friends also really like Raw Data.

Never heard of it before. Have to look it up!

Well, I'm really looking forward to get my Rift Touch controllers, and hope Tilt Brush will work out of the box. It's one of the titles that look really nice. But also I fear that I loose my wife and my vr goggles at the same time. ;)

I just tried Adrift, which is "on sale" (not actually) at Humble Bundle right now. (Humble Bundle does not offer things "on sale", it's merely a donation-based, pay-what-you-want platform).

It got me sim sick a bit, which is unusual. I didn't get simulator sickness as of yet (after 4 weeks of Oculus CV1 ownership, quick SLF maneuvers in canyons and a lot of SRV sliding). Next thing I'll try is Project Cars. Just borrowed a steering wheel and pedals for testing from by brother-in-law. :D

VR Diner Duo is really good fun. Simple to pick up, tough to master. Local co-op (only one headset required) makes it a lot more interesting too.

I'm in for the preorder games also. Will be looking for friends list so maybe we'll meet up online :)

The Eagle flight graphics are just more stylized with pure color blocks and cell shading and not high res texture maps. It makes performance very good. I don't think first gen VR games need anything fancy as the screen doesn't really have the resolution needed to appreciate it. I can't actually tell a difference between VR low, med, high in Elite as far as graphics.

The Oculois touch will take things to the next level. I'm interested in The Climb. The Touch launch line up looks amazing.

I have googled and looked all over the internet for DCS world 2.0 oculus reviews ....and nothing. Any extrapolation on the experience?

I've been enjoying DCS 1.5. Head over to their page and download it. The base game is free, and you get a couple of aircraft. Wait for Steam sales and purchase the aircraft from there.
As previously said though, it's a very steep learning curve, but well worth it.
