Oculus home 1.10

Just updated for me. Don't see any improvements to the ASW artifacts so far.

Do we need to remove the ASW reg hack we used to enable on 1.9?

I had never done the hack seeing as my FPS never seemed to drop anyway with my 1070. Now that I'm on 1.10 I get flickers in the station menus when I toggle around. I have changed nothing else so I assume it's attributed to the new software. Wish I could roll back or shut it off.

Holding my breath for the update - I'm a DK2 holdout, so hoping ASW knows how to deal with 60/30 FPS instead of 90/45 FPS.

I didn't remove the reg edit and ASW seems to be working the same. I was hoping 1.10 would improve the graphics banding and smearing issues, but no go.

ALT + CTRL + 1 / 2 / 3 or 4 were the options with the reg hack in 1.8/1.9 for disable, force 45fps ASW disabled, force 45 fps ASW enabled and enabled respectively.

I hope these key options still work because I am finding ASW terrible. So much distortion on the entire game, especially menus and the galaxy map. I'd rather have a bit of judder with my 1080gtx occasionally than all this distortion.

same here, ASW wasn't great for the DK2 I usually get better results with it disabled. Going to give it a go now although as its not supported anymore I cant see there will be an improvement. I am more looking forward to when the fix for colour banding is rolled out to all users as was mentioned a couple of versions ago. Some users seemed to have got it in a limited patch.

Just logged in and Oculus Home doesn't seem to want to update, still on 1.9

The update just came up automatically for me. It has updated again since. Colour banding seems as bad with 1.10 though...

Ah is that what that is? I thought the colour banding was a little stronger than I remembered (really wish we could get rid of it completely! argh). I'm on 1.9 with ASW enabled, hadn't really tried toggling through the modes and seeing if banding changed yet.

Still 1.9 here too.

I'd suspect the Ctrl-NumPad1 will still work to keep the Rift in ATW-only mode. I prefer the odd judder over ASW too.

CV1 has the same issues with DK2 regarding menu artifacts. Ctrl and num pad 1 still disables ASW so no worries.

It was a right pain to get voice attack to recognise 'disable timewarp'! It just couldn't handle 'time' warp! Kept thinking I had said ': warp' !

Mine updated yesterday and prompted me to run my setup again. I did, I wish I hadn't.

Lost the camera blue light and can't get it back. I ran into this with 1.9 and a driver update (manual) fixed it. No such luck tonight. uninstall and re downloading, hope it works. [edit] I have a dk2

What blue light? A little blue/white LED like the one inside the Rift itself?

I got the update as well yesterday for DK2. I uncheck the box for automatic updates to prevent it be rendered useless at some point. I ignored set up and it worked fine.

Although colour banding is still an issue you can still disable asw.

In fact, it could be my imagination but the game seemed to run a lot better and seemed a lot sharper to me too!

I actually have the feeling it runs much better now with ED. I had the registry "Hack" running before.
