Viewpoints are fine, as long as they're logically consistent and based on rationality. The view of the "intelligent man" offering "we're tired of you crybabies" as a reason for Trump winning is not based on rationality or logical consistency. In fact it's not even based on sanity. The best moment was his statement "You want everything, but you didn't fight for anything. It doesn't work like that". Well it does for Trump, doesn't it? The response to this philosophy was to elect a serial bankrupt, liar, and sexual assaulter who has never known a hard days work in his life to the presidency.

Yup, I entirely agree, unfortunately there's "shake up" and then there's "loose cannon", both shake things up.....but the results are vastly different.

Then again, the system actually is rigged in a way, although not towards any specific party. But at the end of the day many people (of any ethnicity or gender) simply are born in a position that seriously reduces their chances of education, a comfortable life and all that goes with it. I vividly remember when I had to work in a factory for a few months that after every workday there was not a single fiber in my body willing to focus on politics, read economical analyses, check the backgrounds of politicians or any of that stuff. My life for those few months basically consisted of working, followed by sitting on the couch with a beer watching the simpsons. I feel its rather unfair to first put people in a position where they have no extensive formal education to fall back on, then make sure its unreasonable to expect them to spend a signifcant amount of time on politics, finally give them only a limited number of poor candidates to chose from and then insult them for presumably not picking the least yucky candidate.
The worst bit is that the people least able to make informed choices will also always be the ones that get screwed over most. And regardless of the outcome of the elections, I think its a safe bet to say the working class will be screwed over. Again. And people will blame them for it, because 'they had a chance to vote differently'. Its a situation where you lose anyway no matter what you do, and you get blamed for it anyway.
I call that rigged.

No, of course it doesn't mean anything about Trump victory. He won by the rules, absolutely. For the future though, those rules should change. Even Trump himself has called the Electorial College a terrible, rigged system. If his term means abolishing it for a straight proportional vote, then some good will come out of this.
