So you want to know about the Formidine Rift? (Part 3)

Or perhaps Eafots OB-L systems?
I departed yesterday for EAFOTS sector because I was very disappointed by the Sol-Gateway-Achenar probe hunt leading to a nonogram with a braille coded message inside. The idea of a message involving a nonogram coded system map was amazing! It could lead us to searching for a particular system everywhere, keeping the whole community busy for weeks or mounts.... but not! All was reduced to a near system name written in braille that was a complete nonsense at all IMHO, so I lost interest for any hunt "in the bubble".
Now I'm hoping that this "Drew driven" mystery will be more fascinating, even if currently you have no idea of what to search for... I hope that FD will put more hint in the path for Formidine Rift.

Let me understand, a part from the Tionisla Galnet message at the beginning of August, was there any other in game clue that I need to know for join the search? (I read the first page yet).
THX
See you in EAFOTS

Ok, I'm going to try to ask serious questions:

The Moon Card Mr Gin
Where does 'Mr Gin' fit into this? You can't just take half a clue - you have to justify the whole thing.

How does the Moon card moves us forward? Sure, you can interpret the tarot card to be related to the Rift, but then what?

Not so serious comment:
The anagram could also be Flash Gordon related - "The Ming Card, Moron" fits just as well.

Sometimes I'm embarrassed to be associated with this thread.

"Careful with that axe, Eugene-Drew !"

I headed out past H&S for the first time. And... I found something weird.

I thought... those look really lumpy and weird. At first I assumed it was my video card on the fritz. Nope.

A system of only 0.0002ish earth masses. All landables. All tiny and just weird.

I drove around on one of the mini planets, found a crashed probe, but I didn't stick around long.

You've never seen the "potatoes"? Really? They are not weird at all. Gravity isn't strong enough to compress these planets into spheres. So they appear all lumpy.

You can even find many of these in the bubble.

Noted. I'd definitely not discount EAFOTS OB-L but I was thinking more on the line of something peculiar to notice when visiting specific B systems, or a group of them. Or, along that line, O-B-L systems, or a system with 3 O-B-L stars, or a group of O-B-L systems. The discovery is not planet side so it must be something that strikes you as odd when you first enter a system. Or something like a system changing planet configuration when you enter it for a second time. Or a rogue planet in a system (i.e. a planet not shown in the system map). Autolycus was husband to Mestra. He was a master in trickery and she could change shape.

On another note (or perhaps related, not sure), Salome' "equipped" her ship with a special fuel scoop; perhaps to be able to refuel from more stars than just KGBFOAM? And she had a special detailed scanner "installed" as well. Perhaps to be able to see farther from the main star in a system? Or out of a system in deep space? I know that those turned out to be fake upgrades and that she abandoned her ship shortly thereafter but was she maybe trying to tell us something without drawing suspicion from the authorities?

My theory on the fake upgrades is that it was a case of misdirection - it meant the people following her were watching that ship, so she was able to sneak out on a different one without anyone noticing.

If so, the special detailed scanner should point us to "special characteristics" stellar body. And "special fuel scoop" to black regions/systems. Then "a special composed body in a dark land" IMHO

What Veil are we at now?

H&S : 2 veils
Conflux + Hawkings: 2 veils (?)
Pleiades & Co : 3 (?)

I just learned that CMDR Salomè can be made friend like a real player; has anyone got Salomè as a friend?
If so, can She been located on the galaxy map (like a real friend)?

I've never seen 'em! I think I spent half of my nearly 600 hours mind numbingly mining and the other half going pew pew pew.

Welcome among the "Own Tail Chasers in Muddy Waters " ;) ;) ;)

First rule: take bugs for clues.
Second rule: take clues for bugs.
Third rule: nevertheless keep cheerful !

If my understanding of the Dance of Seven Veils is correct, then when the 7th veil is lifted we should know the exact system, or exactly what we are looking for.
Oscar Wilde(the original creator of the dance) equated the lifting of the final(7th veil), being naked, as being in a state of truth.

The actual biblical account of the dance has nothing to do with seven veils or really anything. It was just a dance the Herods stepdaughter, Salome, performed for his guests. It was Oscar Wilde that added all the Artistic flair.

Salome is either played by Drew himself, or a friend of Drew for the purpose of story.

The Raan Corsen saga may not be over. Found this fresh video on the same account that posted the other two. For those who haven't been paying attention, there appears to be a link between Corsen and Kahina:

Dafarq is this? yet another random source of information we have to magically discover through pixel-to-flesh osmosis?

Argh...

Why can't these clue all be in game, for heavens sake...
