Horizons help cannot board ship

I'm in the right place under my ship (AspX) and I have the "board ship" option, but when I select it I get the "noise" that it sounds like it's working but I stay sat in my SRV and no boarding happens. Wazgoinon?

I had this happen to me the other day. I 'solved' it by quitting and reloading using the non-Horizons option which respawned me in orbit as usual and without losing my SRV.

It's only ever happened to me that one time, if it happens again I'll be bug reporting it.

Cheers lads, I was afraid that would be the suggestions as I'm at the Alien Ruins and wanted to take some piccies before moving on.....so I'll have to find the site again....bugrit!!

update, I think I sussed it out...I had a full cargo hold of relics from the ruins AND one on my SRV. After another unsuccessful boarding attempt I jettisoned the cargo from my SRV and THAT let me dock! PHEWIE... I took piccies then left to find the crash sites! :)

Why you don't try to dismiss your ship, roll a few hundreds meters on SRV, and recall your ship at another location? (if I correct understand your situation)

I wonder if that is a problem with re-entering the ship with cargo in the SRV?
If the SRV has cargo, and ship has space, can you dock without transferring the SRV cargo first?
I have an ASPx and cargo space is limited. I was in trouble and eventually trashed my Cobra without finding anything out that relates to this post.

They made a change in 2.2, that if you board your ship with cargo in the SRV, it will auto-transfer to your ship. You used to have do it manually.

If there is no room in your ship for the cargo, you can't board (but it doesn't tell you why, which I think is a bug).

You can't have cargo in the stored SRV, it has to be transferred to your ship.

Yep, discovered that the other day. Was going to do some checking to make sure there was no message before I logged it.

thanks for the suggestion but I did try that but as below it's a "feature" with no explanation.

Cheers for the heads up on that, I havn't played for a while (before this current play time) but I'm certain the cargo on the SRV was separate before, so effectively adding 2 cargo bays of storage? If it was then why was it changed? If it never was then I blame it on addled brains and shoddy memory. ;)

As far as I know you could never board your ship if you still had cargo in your SRV. You have to transfer the cargo first. (Kind of like you aren't allowed to store ships if you still have limpets/cargo in them.)
