Horizons Thargoid historical canon

Before people chime in with how this has been discussed at length or there are already ddiscussions on this, let me make it quite clear. I am posting because every other topic on the subject appears to result in contrary information or details only things like "The Thargoids will or are in ED just not available yet".

I#m not concerned well, not for the sake of this topic) with the itroduciton of actual Thaargoid encounters in-game, or their relations to the unknown origins of certain artefats etc.

ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS THIS:
Considering an amount of necessary " retconning " that has occurred with regards to features from Elite and its sequels, and the iteration that E:D is mroe of a "re-imagining" / ""re-boot" rather than aa direct sequel -

Then what exactly is the status of Thargoids in-universe, according to history?

Certainly they are acknowledged, since they are mentioned in GalNet and novels that have been officially confirmed as canon. Therefore, this would indicate that there most certainly is an understandfing of an alien entity and their octagonal spcaecraft that is referred to as "Thargoid" - but in-universe, again, where did this term originate?

So please, clarify / HAVE Thargoids EVER actually "existed" in the history (which, to be fair, should be available to every citzen of the Galaxy) ?

If SO, then surely there is absolutely no doubt as to the possibilitiy of alien life?
If NOT, then (aside from player metagame out-of universe-knowlege) where does the term or references to them come from ("in-universe")?

First things first... fix your grammar mate :D

Second: Thargoids are, currently, only a rumor. There have been encounters.. strange encounters.
And eerything is explained here https://community.elitedangerous.com/galnet/uid/57ada8969657baeb6e876c6c

This is the current state of info we have on Thargoids

P.S. : Actually there is alien life - for example all the ammonia gas giants with ammonia based life ( still alien life, isn't it? )

Talking of grammar, you appear to have invented a new word, "eerything" which is surprisingly appropriate ..... this is how new words evolve :)

There is actually a tourist beacon in Lave about the Thargoids. It talks about the 'first thargoid invasion'. So i think it is at least part of the backstory, if not the future.

Ironic how many people try to point out "problems" with others' English by posting with poor spelling and punctuation themselves. I would suggest it's even hypocrisy.

Anyway, were you to please enlighten me as to which specific clauses you deem to require "fixing" given that you seemed well able to fully understand the meaning (and therefore, communication is effective - arguably the purpose of language) and I may be inclined to do so.

Which is utterly discountable given it makes completely inane references to entire systems that don't actually exist. This is my point. The entire notion of Thargoids is so contradicted. I would love for some FD spokesperson to just clarify for the sake of basic information that every pilot would know (for example, most humans are fully aware of Dodos being an extinct bird, very few people can, especially with information storage and mass communications media, deny or disbelieve or fail to locate factual information pertaining to Dodos, despite all these things being developed long after their extinction and very few individuals actually really ever witnessing one first-hand.)

ehm.. I was just kidding, I'm not whining or anything
Plus, I know how to write everything, it's just that my keyboard has some problems with the V key. Don't take it like a personal offence because it was not intended to be like that. I'm sorry if i made you angry.

And nope, I don't think that they'll clarify anything.
They want a mysterious story and, therefore, they'll let us guess everything..
Just think about every reference to "mysterious things" in the patch note (e.g. "Added some more variety to mysterious places" ). It may be Thargoids or it may be something else but.. who knows?
