So you want to know about the Formidine Rift? (Part 3)

Somehow, the Children of Raxxla leader, Salomé, knows the big picture of what they're looking for out there and the Federation framed her in order to imprison and silence her. Her followers have caught onto this but do not know the big picture yet themselves. Their hope is that once they do, the fact that she was framed will become obvious. They don't actually know where to send pilots, only that they want to send to the same places as the Federation and hope those pilots give them the information instead of the Federation.

How this is going to play out I think is that we're not going to know the big picture answer after this CG. This is going to give us the locked door so to speak and another later piece of info will give us the key to opening it. Whatever is found in these areas isn't going to work for us; it's not going to interact in a meaningful way. Something later will tell us how to open the door. At that point, pilots will have to bring either some knowledge, a key, or a critical mass of items or item back to these areas

It is not the Federation that imprisoned Salomé, but the Empire. She was likely framed for the attempted assasination on Senator Patreus to prevent her from digging deeper into the secrets that the Federation and the Empire are trying to hide together.

Therefore, if the Federation wins this CG, it is likely that the truth will be lost, maybe forever.

Guys, I'm confused. Help me out here:

Were these beacons in these systems before this update, and this update and CG merely helped us locate them to move things along? If it's the latter, and these beacons were added with the CG, and the Rift mystery ends up being solved because of all this, isn't that kind of a letdown?

I guess I'm confused on how these beacons were found; by chance or were we lead there by the CG? And were they placed in these systems with Thursdays update or were they there prior (if that's possible to answer?)

These types of beacons were not found (in the bubble) intil the 2.2 Beta, and they speak using the 2.1 'Engineer base' voice.

This suggests they are new.

I suspect the Feds will lose - but they're still going to be the beneficiaries of the 2,500 systems I'll have scanned by the time I get back home.

Can anyone tell me what the lowest tier level is? Since I suspect I'll be the only person giving data to the Feds, I'd like to know how much I'll need ;)

Noticed something right now. The game crashes every time I try to land on that portion of the planet shown in the screenshot, just like it did when the capital ship was introduced over that barnacle on Merope 5c. There must be something down there that fails to load or causes a problem of some sort. Can anyone on xbox try to see if the problem exists there too?

I'm in the area I'll try and have a look see

Yeah, I had assumed they were working together in some fashion to hide something or gain something. I mentioned the Federation throughout because they're the ones running the CG. It may be that the Empire already has the information and while they're both working to cover it up the Federation is still missing pieces.

not base camps, they just have a rally point number and then the name of the sector/orbital body. we've found 1, 2 and 6 in eafots so far I think.

edit - the orbital body might be a pointer to a landable terraformable world?

GL-Y E2 A1 6 is a landable terraform candidate.

Is there anything we can do to change your mind?

Thers definitely something down there. It has exactly the same behavior with Merope 5c. Crashes just when you are about to enter glide. I suspect that is when the game loads the hand placed details on the planets.

1. Renounce the use of terrorist actions to achieve your goals, and make recompense to the Empire for the death and destruction caused in both the blockade of Cemeiss and the attack on Patreus.
2. Agree to freely share all exploration data with the public, both so as to allow them to make their own determination of Kahina's guilt and to further the general understanding of those areas currently being explored.
3. Unicorns for everybody!

Number 3. is non-negotiable ;)

We learned from our mistake in Cemiess. We felt that we were being driven into a corner, but that is not an excuse to start taking lifes. However, we did start making amends in the system after our voice was heard. The lessons learned from Cemiess were applied in the attack on Patreus' flagship. We made sure to give the crew of the Interdictor and the pilots of others ships ample time to retreat through escape pods. We then helped the collection of these escape pods and delivered them to independent stations in the vicinity. We also helped delivering Basic Medicines to the stations. In other words, no lifes were lost during this attack, only assets. Moreover, as this attack was not aimed at civilians, it should not be considered an act of terrorism, but rather as a military strike.

As for the data you deliver to us, naturally, it will be made public for all eyes to see. After all, it is the public who has helped us gather this data.

I note your silence on the issue of unicorns.
