1) Where do I get permits for certain systems and planets.
2) Are there any landable planets with flora and fauna on, or are they all desolate waste lands.
3) Is there a key press for looking behind you when you are reversing.

Hi.

1. You have to complete some missions with major factions (Empire, Federation) in order to be awarded the permits. Basically as you do Navy missions (which will become available as soon as you are at 100% towards the next rank) various things become available to you (including certain ships).
2. At this moment you can only land on airless worlds. However, FDev have said that we will be able to land on atmospheric worlds (Soon^TM)
3. Not that I am aware of.

(1): System permits are awarded as rank and mission rewards. As you rank up with the major powers and factions, you gain access to systems and ships.
(2): No flora or fauna yet unless you count some moss or odd alien barnacles, supposedly in the works for future updates/versions.
(3): No. Situational awareness is necessary. When landing, though, you can tell when the landing pad has got behind you by looking at the "compass".

There are also locked systems that aren't affiliated to major powers. You'll need to find the controlling faction in a nearby system and get allied with them.
