What's the difference between low and high wake?

Hey, what is the difference?

I know with a wake scanner you can scan highly wakes, haven't tried with a low wake to see if I can scan, am I right in thinking high wake is traveling from star to star, and low wake is leaving and or entering SC?

I've hade elite since 1.2 and only have assets of 150m 4x ships and don't know what the difference between low and high wake :p

Yup, high waking is jumping from one solar system to the next.

Low wake is traveling inside a solar system.

Confused by the fact that both are bound to the same button by default. Split them into two separate keys so you can bug out more easily.

Excellent suggestion (+1) - it should be two keys by default. Probably too late now, all the keys must be used up for something !

Default controls are probably intended to keep things easy so the game can be accessible for new players.

Once you've played enough to know you want more complex controls... heh even then you don't actually have to choose; I kept the single "smart" button, and also enabled the extra two separate controls! :D
