Horizons Sight Seeing Missions

Tried my first PSS last night... Got killed in the process by 2 AI pirates. Not putting me off, but I do have a question. How on earth do you advance these things? I was supposed to go visit an Ice Geyser. Got there, flew around the thing, stopped and ran around in my SRV. But no update from the Passenger. Obviously I'm missing something.

Can someone chime in on what I missed doing?

Good question, i had a similar experience and abandoned the mission because i had no clue about how to complete it...

I've had to abandon one, and at this point am going to have to abandon another one if I can't figure this out. I've been as close as I can to the mission objectives, but still nothing happens.

Wish FD would come out with some instructions on how to complete this stuff.

Not specifically with a Geyser stop, but I have had this happen after scanning the designated tourist beacon for a mission. No message from the passenger, but I just checked the galaxy map, & fortunatly the next waypoint was put up anyway.

... At that point I can only assume my passenger has been assassinated, and the killer is sending me directions... Time to grab my pulse rifle & do a little payback before the assassin can escape, or hurt anyone else.... (Maybe this last part in a cpl more years ;)
