I have to say again, I never once could "stack" missions to get them, I always had to go complete the one, then I'd go back, do one round of mode switching and I'd have another.
It took me two evenings of a couple of hours.

after doing the permit mission to get the sirius permit, you need to go to sirius, and pick up a second mission, which will looks like that (thanks to the forummate who posted screenshots):
it is also mentioned in the qwendt detail description, but missed often (if you ask me, quite understandable):
"They will only issue the invitation mission from their home system".
this is excellent, thanks guys. so i went to sothis and find i am already allied with the sirius corporation which was an unexpected bonus. then i flew over to procyon davy terminal but no sirius permit. i presume i have to hunt around for it amongst the sirius systems or is there somewhere im missing?

Is the screenshot the invitation for Qwent or for Palin?
After having developed Qwent at the right point, I got a message from Palin, saying to check in my log, but... which log?! So I started my 5K Ly travel, because I assumed it's the only thing missing. How will the Palin invitation show up? Thank you guys...
It'll show up the same as any other engineer. Have you gotten Qwent to G3/4?
Have a look on the panel on the right, "View Engineers" and look for Palin. You can even keep track of your 5K LY journey there to see how far you need to go.
Once you've done that you'll then need to deliver your 25 alien things.

Yes I have Qwent at 3/4 and the Unknown Fragments with me. Need to complete this exile first, before getting the official invitation from the Prof. The journey tracking will help. I was wondering how to be sure to have gone >5K without exagerating my self on purpose.
