I was landed on Pyraleau YQ-K d9-123 A 1 picking up some Yttrium (and trying to find some vulcanism) when I picked up a another signal on the scanner. As I approached it appeared to be crashed ship launched fighter with a few bits of cargo scattered about and not a lot else. I've not seen one before but I didn't think it would be that unusual. The unusual bit was the NPC Asp parked very near - when targeted it was a System Defence Force ship.

We were quite surprised on our recent Nerverest attempt to find a System Defence Cobra landed near our base camp. Seems like they're getting in the habit of it these days.

Found this NPC security ship as I was looking for a spot to set down and search for jump mats. Bumped into it in my SRV but got no reaction. Thought it best not to shoot.

Yeah, I have seen a random System Authority ship just parked in the middle of a crater. No POIs particularly close. It was just there. The SRV docking hatch had a shield that held me back when I tried to drive under it.

Came over a blue POI circle just as I was coming out of glide. Backed up, was trying to get central on it and picked up a ship signal on the scanner.

Unresponsive......until I hit him with the SRV laser. whoops. He was shielded so no damage, but up he gets all narky and starts taking out the mothership - a shieldless Sidey
