What other games do you recommend?

Elite, some Elite and a bit of Elite.

ViveCraft is also really great and immersive - you'd think the blocky graphics would hinder that, but it is really a great game

Sometimes I don't want to really play but just fool around a bit, then I like the following games:
Elven Assassin, a bow shooting tower defense. good price/fun ratio
NVidia VR Funhouse, The Lab and Zombie Survival Training are nice, quick game, especially if you have people visiting and just testing the vive.
theBlu is nice and relaxing for times when I miss diving, Trials on Tatooine is a nice short tech demo that is free and lets you use a lightsaber
Also, GoogleEarth VR is a nice alternative.

Google Earth VR is good fun, but different places are better.

I was looking for my Sisters house in Wells in Somerset, it was fantastic, they have mapped the houses in 3d. I dont know if all of the UK is this way. Certainly not done in here in Ireland.

Vanishing of ethan carter is flawed but beautiful in vr.

80% off right now.. i had base gaje from humble bundle so onky cost me 1.40 to upgrade

If you haven't, you guys should take a little time (read: A LOT) to try out DCS World as it's a full simulator, and comes free with two playable planes/jets

Huge learning curve, there's a tutorial on just how to turn your plane on and fire up the engines, ferry it to the runway... before even attempting to take off

Do you play w/ kbd? I found it particular hard to set up controls with an HMD on.

I use a Saitek x52 HOTAS + Rudder pedals, and I have a Razer Notstromo sitting next to the throttle. Slowly getting my controls dialed in and learning how to fly... The hardest part is comfortably assigning all the buttons!

Tried DCS. I find it's not as well optimized as warthunder. On my medioce pc with GTX970 DCS was a stutterfest. This was few months ago.

Warthunder is definitely quicker to pick up and run with, easy to get into a match too.

I have googled and looked all over the internet for DCS world 2.0 oculus reviews ....and nothing. Any extrapolation on the experience?

I played DCS world on my DK2, but found it to be a stutterfest on my mediocre pc with gtx970. So I uninstalled. Warthunder on the other hand is smooth as butter. Also has alot more online players than DCS has presently. Fly in sim mode on warthunder and it is pretty damn close to DCS otherwise. The flight characteristics in DCS is a little more realistic, but still it is close enough in warthunder (This coming from real-life pilot)

Hoverjunkers is amazing for the Vive.

Also enjoy Space Pirate Trainer and raw data.

Apollo 11 is an incredible one time experience.

So, since we are here, we all a bit of the same tase when it comes to video games, right? So, apart from ED, what are your favorite VR games, and why?

Had one of the best gaming experience last Sunday. Played 'Inside' on my Rift using VorpX's Cinema mode. That game is pure Art. Absolute recommendation !! The Cinema mode with it's huge virtual screen got me deep inside the game. I zoomed in just as far so I could not see the left and right screen border anymore. The atmosphere is fantastic! Set the screen background (from cinema room environment) to ambient to make it even better. The colors in the background changed to the colors of the screen borders.

Beside of that, totally love Dirt Rallye and Project Cars. Steering Wheel + pedals absolutely must habe. I played a Formula 1 session in project cars. It was stunning! The speed, the feeling, the race. Woohoo! The rift was a good investment. A shame the resolution isn't a bit better.

No prob!

*adds to wishlist*

as i said just bear in mind it is flawed. i initially bought it and had to get a steam refund. i only picked it up again as i got the base game in a bundle, and £1.40 was acceptable to me even being a bit broken (the investigation tool does not work well in vr)
