im saying lets make FD NERF THE FDL!!!!!!! SO OTHER SHIPS ARE VIABLE!

It's pretty telling that the Fer-De-Lance Owner's Club thread is 75 pages long, compared to the Anaconda's 10, the Diamondback Explorer's 3 , Type-7's 1 and the Viper MkIV's... uh. I guess it doesn't have a thread.

Finally, someone who doesn't think Grabthar's Nerfhammer is the only way of dealing with things.

To OP it's over used because alot of people watch Vids of SDC or AA using it and think if they get one they will be Uber L33t at PvP, that's why I got one. A lot of those people like me will put Gimballed weapons on it. I recently sold my FDL and got a Viper mkiii, I'm starting from scratch combat wise and using fixed weapons.

You can't stop people from getting the FDL it's just the latest fashion, just know that most people using it don't really know how too...like I used to be.

I only got my FDL about a month ago after playing the game for 2 years, it's best not to assume that any single ship is used by the majority.

man the FDl is such a pain to see now a days, every nub and there grandmother uses it, (expect harry potter) , shout out to him for not being an unimaginative FDL fly and using a clipper

And a brief word on Fixed vs Gimbals - this was obviously going to be one of the hotter topics, I would ask that people reserve complete judgement until you've tried it though. The goal isn't to make gimbals useless, I think it is a smaller nudge than it sounds. As with all things subjective though, it needs to be tried to be properly gauged. For reference, looking at the stats of what people are currently using (trimming outliers to include only recently flown ships, an a couple of other exceptions), when people have a choice between fixed and gimbals more than 75% of players have picked gimbals, which is high enough that I think it signals something not balanced right.

Continuing to read the thread, but there's a lot to try and answer.

today I escaped an fdl murderer with 60% hull after losing the interdiction in a vanilla T6 and I feel great :)
clearly he wasn't rngneered enough..
