So what are you saying, the majority of the trailer is all LIES?
No. You're trying to assign values and meaning to things and twist the message that is actually being displayed in favor of your own narrative.
Admirable but then this is exactly what happened to that other game. Players got out of hand with their imaginations about what was displayed making up their own confirmation as opposed to what was actually being said by the company.
It's an unspoken agreement between business and consumer that trailers are not complete truth and are meant to showcase snippets designed to excite players.
There's a few bits that are clearly CG to those of us playing the game.
I am saying that consumers would be wise to be somewhat skeptical of trailers and instead of explosive overexcited enthusiasm, they curb their expectations, do some research, and decide if the game is something they want to take the plunge on.
Most of what you see in the trailer CAN be found in the game... if you know where to look or how to set it up. That's where the research comes in on.
Jumping in feet first is all well and good and you can be surprised but I wouldn't be surprised if most of the complaints and verbal abuse directed toward FDev in the form of "constructive criticism" was because people didn't know what they were getting into and jumped into a game they weren't ready for or wasn't actually what they were looking for.
What I am saying is that getting excited for something is good.
But when you start twisting facts to fit theories instead of twisting theories to fit facts... you're in for a bad time.
Take the trailer and my response with a grain of salt. Keep an eye on the trailer and see if the promises made by Frontier as to features line up with what you see as they trickle out one by one rather then believing blindly in a single trailer to save yourself the despair.
You're certainly not helping trying to confirm things that I haven't heard ether way on from Frontier on these forums.
