The way I see it, backers backed the PC and Mac versions, and the incentives stop there. X Box and PS support is separate.

Totally agree.
I'd love to at least keep my day one backer badge since i believe this will be a sign of rank for the commanders update as well.
I am proud of backing this game from day one ( while everybody said David won't make it ) and so would proudly feature the badge on my ship & my flight suit if i still have it...
Btw. What about extras one blught at the store ( ship kit's.. paintjobs etc )?

Yeah, I too would like to know.
I bought quite a few things on the store and have a Distant Worlds Decal. Will I be able to access these on PS4?
Short answer: No. Each platform will be/is seperate. All things have to be earned and bought seperately.
