Welcome to the galaxy and the forums cmdrs this game is the best game I have ever played and im amazed that frontier are still able to add more content to the console's I was also amazed when they answered my question at 36.48 minute within the video of them doing the 2016 games com livestream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVPBlK3nX7Q I hope you enjoy those first moments as I did when I first played it. I spent first minutes looking at the stars as I always looked at space games like star citzen, space engineers, eve online wish they would be on console.
The ability to land on airless planets was a big and cool step within the development of the game and the abillity to go to the far and dark ends of deep space seemed like an dream come true.
When i first saw gameplay of elite it was a ship exiting a station and then the youtuber showed the galaxy map and said this map has 80 billion star systems and then I was like holy spacecraft. Also there as some great youtubers who do elite videos such as obsidanant,greedy raider, zmarco, scot manley,vindicator jones.
