To all PS4 Commanders (CMDRs),

Welcome to the Elite: Dangerous community!

You are in for one of the most wonderful games of this generation :p;) and as a veteran, I want to give you harmless pilots (not saying that you're actually harmless.... :D it's the starting combat rank) a few words of advice:

  1. Never give up. Elite: Dangerous has a notoriously steep learning curve, but the sense of accomplishment when you make a major step in your progression is so much worth it
  2. Join a player group! Elite is way more fun when you have friends to go space geeky with :cool: and your wingmen can pass on their knowledge to you
  3. Never fly without rebuy

Enjoy your stay and become Elite!

I remember you I was trying to pirate In my clipper and you almost killed me haha though it wasnt modded then in dalevard helping my buddies out defending theyre system

#3 is a big one. More often than not, the complaints i've seen on social and here on the forums have been and still are "OMG THE REBUY COSTS!1!!!" (in the most tldr sense of it).

Don't leave unprepared!

To do what, make the game more hand-holdy? Not necessary (at least here).

It's about having choice, if you want to fly dirty there's nothing stopping you.

A bit of a pointer in the tutorials wouldn't be a bad idea though. Your cash pool and your extra life pool is the same but many players don't suss this until they find out the hard way.
