The Heisenberg would be the one who knocks.

It'd defend itself with science, yo! :D

:D

But don't you think that a ship named Heisenberg should at least look a little bit like this?

Was the Fer De Lance supposed to be another Faulcon DeLacy ship? What with the snake theme and all?

I think the Bagpuss MK I is in the lead to be honest. Not sure how I feel about that.

ZP doesn't have a feline naming convention... ZP have built the fer de lance since elite where many of the names were snakes so the snake theme isn't shipyard specific.

So they have... I guess it's open season in that case! Not sure many would be happy for the Hauler to take the Fer De Lance name though??

It's made for hauling stuff, so it should be called Mule, looks a bit like one, too.

As for feline names, whenever I hear them I'm thinking of German tanks, the WWII Tiger and Panther, the current Leopard 2 or Puma IFV, the Gepard (Cheetah for you English speaking folk) or Ozelot (an anti air variant of the Wiesel 2 tankette).

Those all have/had really big teeth and a vicous bite, something which the Hauler does not, with its one little LED.

So it looks like Bagpuss has an unbreakable lead... though I think copyright issues would give it to Bobcat instead. Now we just have to force FD to comply.

Bobcat is closing the lead. A cruel blow against nostalgia and nonsense.

Did any suggest Pilchard?

From the cat of our collective 70s/80s childhoods to the cat of our children's childhoods. The circle is complete. Nobody suggested it so far, but it might help hook in that elusive 3-7 year old demographic.
