1 Million Light Years Travelled

Well, I've just reached a personal goal of mine; 1 million Light Years Travelled :)

I know that there are many Explorers out there that have travelled more, but this was a personal goal of mine. And, hey, we all have to start somewhere. Next stop, 2 million LY ;)

Edit : Damnit, Typo in the thread title! Can a Mod change the ! to a 1?

Dang, that's a good distance you have under your belt Cmdr! Hats off to you sir (and those others that have hit the 1m mark). I'm still totally distracted from exploration and trying to rank up with Federation and get my third Elite (Combat). I'll get back out sometime but you'll probably have hit the 2m by then :)

You are one sick puppy! Congrats! Proof of your patience and appreciation for exploration. Hope your next million is at least as interesting.

Also, your number of systems visited is quite impressive.

Grats! Someone should set up an explorer's millionaire club with all the people getting there

(Not sure if explorers needs an apostrophe, I put one in but it doesn't look right)

It depends on if it's a club that belongs to the explorers (needs an apostrophe) or if it's where one would find explorers (then it won't).

Meanwhile - many congratulations Duckfather! What an achievement. Nearly half way to Andromeda.

Congratulations Cmdr...seriously I don't think there are too many other Cmdrs out there with 1MLY+. Maybe you should start a thread for the "One Million Club" and we can find out how many there are?

I personally have something in the order of 300,000LY on my dial so quite a ways to go.

Bloody well done!...

I'm an explorer at heart, and every time I try to do something else, I mess up.,..

Like tonight. I was to go Mining in Style, in my Orca... so I painted it Purple, equipped mining lasers and a refinery.. and targeted a nice looking system 300LY outside the bubble... 300LY is nothing, right?... I mean, I've been to Sgr A* twice, there's hundreds of planets, stars and even black holes out there with my name on them... what's 300LY?.... So I travel recklessly, going between binaries, skimming the surface of red giants.. and.. stuff... reaching my mining destination with my systems pretty badly burned from my stellar shenannigans.. but at least still 98% hull......

Only then do I notice I have no limpets. My controller is online... but.. no limpets. Damn.
Back home again. At least I added 300x2 LYs travelled total. :)

I've got some catching up to do, then... Very nicely done.

(And "! Million LY" is actually quite apt. :D)

Impressive. I've been out for 13 months and I have ~ 310k.
everyone is different though.
I have a little less than half of your systems visited.
Well done CMDR.

Thanks guys. The thing I find funny is that I passed the 1 million LY mark in a tiny hauler, with minimal engineering, on my way back from Jaques (it was the cheapest ship I could outfit and get transferred out there after leaving my Corvette at Jaques should it be needed :))

That's a damn good idea, but I know I'd just never have the time to curate it or do it justice. If anyone else wants to step in though.... ;)

Are Sidewinder LYs more than normal LYs? You know, like dog years? ;)
