Earth-like planet discovered on the way to Colonia...

On the way to Colonia...
After one of many jumps...
In the system PRUA PHOE UT-H D10-47...
Lets check this system...
OMG...what is it on the position AB 1 B? It must be! Yes it is!!! :)

Discovered my first Earth-like planet!

Planet has a close orbiting moon, so I couldn't resist to land on it :)

Started to explore it with my SRV...

And discovered that I wasn't first to land here...but i was better luck than this poor guy xD

Someday I will return to this system again. Maybe when I will be able to land on this beautiful planet...
Until then, farewell, with a last look on this system (for now)...

The galaxy is truly trolling me right now. Just back from a quick jaunt of 400 d-class systems - not 1 earth-like :(

This isn't just rare, it's extremely rare: out of 6,700 Earth-likes on the list, there's only one in a similar configuration - where the Earth-like orbits something as a moon and has a moon of its own too. If you don't mind, I'll be adding this to the list as well. Congrats on your find, Commander, and nice screenshots!

Oh, and I'd recommend posting this world's moon as a tourist beacon candidate too.

Also, I don't suppose the moon itself has volcanism? Do you have a screenshot of its system map info?

Yes, friend, of course you can add this planet on your list.
I was very excited when I discovered an Earth-like planet with a close orbiting moon, that are together orbiting around a gas giant with a ring, in a system with two suns :)
And I agree that moon would be a good candidate for a tourist site!

Oh, interesting, this moon has volcanism too. Thanks for the screenie! Pearcy's has volcanism too, but otherwise, volcanism on the moons of ELW-s appears to be quite rare - although we don't have a catalogue of those to tell exactly how rare.

Seems that Earth-likes started to like me :)
Two years with no discovery of such planets, and now, in few days I made 2, and last is a binary ELW

I will post coordinates in list of discovered ELW's when I report this discovery in next station, but I can say that this two marbles are not far from Colonia!
Too bad their orbits were in max possible distance point, so I couldn't make a good screenshot of both planets together.

First I considered it as Earth 2, but it is more like Eden with less gravity and no volcanism.

I claim this planet on behalf of New Lapland Frontiers Colony, as a New Finland, to celebrate neutrality and co-operative spirit of Colonia initiative! [yesnod]




Edit: it also seems to be at about midway between Colonia and Sol

You know I scanned one just like that about a week ago. I hope it wasn't the same one!

EDIT : I have already docked since so don't rush. It was probably before I lost my ship after one balvenie to many.
