General / Off-Topic Carrie Fisher has very sadly passed away :(

An outpost? Really? She was a Princess, better be a big damn station!!

I agree to some extent, although the Rebel Base was often found planet side. Figure she should have a snow base on an ice planet. Do something that resembles the battle scene in the Empire Strikes back and you will hit the mark.

May the Force be with you. Always.

Even though it doesn't fit into the lore of Elite, I wonder if FD could put some kind of tribute to Ms. Fisher on the displays at this station/outpost, rather then the usual advertisements for the ship manufacturers. It would really pay homage to one of the characters of a story that really helped put science fiction on the map.

Omg what the hell.... I can't imagine what the family is going through right now. :(

Apparently, Debbie Reynolds and her family was planning Carrie's funeral when Debbie collapsed. This is so cruel!

"Fisher's Rest"? A outpost?! Oh no! Most visitors will first think of "Fisherman's Friend". It could be a bit more precise. And a bit - nicer... :O

Nimoy got a Station. Fisher gets an outpost. Male Actor => Big Station. Female Actor => Small Outpost. Patriarchy at work.

Is it because she was tiny? (155cm)

I really do not think that is it, though yeah they could just find a system for her that isn't an outpost, though it seems kinda fitting with her role, (though not her person)
And despite the huge arguments trek vs wars can get.
Trek is significantly larger in terms of episodes, movies and whatnot then star wars, had significantly more impact, add that I can't imagine her character wanting something that big named after herself, she fought for the little guys?
