Hardware & Technical Just bought an X52

Hi fellow commanders, just as the title says I just got myself an X52. I have been thinking a lot about finally pulling the trigger since I'm left handed, and I've always played with a Joystick in my left hand (My previous stick was a Thrustmaster T16000m).
So this is gonna be quite a ride for me. I've been playing the combat tutorial, and wow it's difficult playing with the "wrong" hand. But I won't give up and will master my new stick.
Maybe there are some more left handed people here who can give me some tips and tricks to get better.

Another lefty here

It will take a while to get use to using your right hand but you will get use to it
I currently use a Warthog which has a much stronger spring .... starting to develop Popeye forearms

Yes I guess it'll take a while to get used to. No combat for me at the moment haha, just trading and maybe some passenger missions.

The vast majority of HOTAS gaming solutions are designed for right handed people.

You may find training your trigger finger with a PS2/PS3 style game pad might help to improve your use of right handed solutions since such controllers tend to be rather more left handed friendly.

Hahaha it is, but I live in Venezuela so it's probably going on the local ebay. It's really hard to ship anything reliably outside of the country.

With the build quality of the X52 (and X-52 Pro) you will need all the luck you can get

Good luck commander. I am not left handed but after using my X52 Pro for two years. I have changed the bindings on a couple of buttons swapping the hands I use to boost and to fire the second trigger*. It does take a while to get used to but you will.

Here is a tip that you might find useful. When you plug your USB into your machine, use a USB 2 socket that is easily accessible so you can quickly reset the HOTAS by pulling it out and reseating it.

I was going to use the clutch button as a latched fire but ended up using the software to latch/toggle it. Using the second trigger on the throttle hand allows me to change the pips, with my right hand, without stopping firing.
