Hardware & Technical Stable Nvidia drivers?

Looks like I have to install newer set of Nvidia drivers than 365.10 - E: D 2.2.02 has changed somehow (compared to 2.1.0X & 2.2.01) & CTDs + occasional BSODs have returned.

So, what's the current consensus, what's good & stable relatively new Nvidia driver for Windows 7 ?
Yes, I have again done lots of troubleshooting, and the signs point to driver problems, not hardware.

Stable as in "not crashing every ten minutes under load", or stable as in "Working perfectly and giving maximum performance"?

376.33 check the first category. Most of the time it's fine.
..which is probably nVidia's idea of "stable".

Would like a bit better ones than the former category. But the latter category has been sci-fi since GeForce 2...

Ok, trying my luck & installing 376.33...

Don't worry, they're good. As the guys above confirmed.
nVidia got much better, now. Fortunately the driver launch fiasco we had every month, is a thing of the past.

Another shout-out for the (current) latest drivers (376.63). Working perfectly for me. GTX 1080 with an Oculus Rift.

P.S. Can I suggest we subscribe to and use this thread as a place to keep track of the latest and most stable set of NVIDIA drivers (i.e. posting here as and when new drivers become available to record their reliability with Elite Dangerous).

Probably not what you want to hear but I'm on the latest drivers on a 1070 with no problem either... can't say I've had any problems since switching to the 1070 if I'm honest
