Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

Error when opening the TRADE PANEL whilst counting down just after data has been saved. TCE continues as normal. Doesn't happen when countdown is in the 30 second mark.

Re the other issue I'll take screenshots before and after.

Thanks for your reports, a parallel calulation process was not finished before opening the Trade panel. Have to speed up the process to be ready, when finished the EDMC call. Working on it currently, so the update today will be postponed until it's finished.

Hi. I've encountered an issue that I haven't been able to find a solution for.

1) freshly installed latest version and successfully imported database.
2) was able to launch TCE and ED with no problems, but on visit to a station, or when clicking to 'connect' to station, I get an email from ED: frontier asking for an authenticate code.
3)tried the force logout, re-register game, restart all programs and when I try to connect at stations I still get the emails asking for the auth code...
4)ive been over the ED launcher with a fine toothed comb looking for a menu choice that would disable or otherwise circumvent this problem and...nothing.
5)there doesn't seem to be anything in TCE that updates auth codes or disables a request to have a valid auth code.

PLS HELP as TCE is not usable until this is resolved.

It is worth noting that I have grown very fond of TCE and the utilities it provides to nearly every style of gameplay found in ED. Eventure, you have a fine product; I am just seeking a solution to this problem.

Hi Eventure,

if possible, I would like to see some filter options in the cartografic panel.
Like type of sun, type of body, landable and where to find which materials.

What do you think?

@all Happy new year

Do you installed/using EDMC the first time? If so, please checkout this guide, how to setup EDMC.

@all Happy new year

Sure, the search of materials are already it, but quite hidden. Press the the 'BodyName' button before the text field of the Cartography panel and change it to 'Composition'. Then enter the material you seeking after and hit the enter key.

Any other filters, I should add beside the type of star/body and landable bodies? All suggestions are welcome.

Thanks. I had forgotten about EDMC and it's interaction with ED. had been away for a few months. It's all been sorted and all is working as intended. Thanks for prompt reply.

Thanks for posting the journal log details, that was the key to find the issue. It's the "Touchdown" event right after the docked event, which removes all purpose to search after a market. Must be an issue on Frontier's side, sending a "Touchdown" event, which only should fire when landing on a planet's surface and not onto a landing pad. A fix will be included into the next version of TCE.

When registering stations, mostly all stations data is recorded. However I have found that INDEPENDENT stations ALLEGIANCE are often not recorded automatically, if at all. I'll monitor, bUt it does occur to me is the call for ALLEGIANCE spelt wrong maybe; INDEPENDANT?

REGIONAL SUMMARY UPDATE:

The issue with the UNREGISTERED station figure being incorrect actually happens when I jump from one system to another as per below.

START: UNREGISTERED STATIONS = 118
ADDED: 2 STATIONS = UNREGISTERED 116
JUMPED TO A NEW SYSTEM = UNREGISTERED 118
DELETED: 1 STATION = UNREGISTERED 117

Eventure, one thing comes into mind. When registering a market and saving the data, the taskbar pops into view. The focus of inputs is given back to ED, but the taskbar remains in front. Opening, e.g., the personal panel and closing it afterwards sends the bar into background again. Perhaps it's with the EDMC call? It's a bit distracting, so i'd be very glad if you could look that up. Thanks in advance.

Hi Eventure, happy new year,

Apologies if this has already been reported.

Running the latest version of TCE.

I had a notification of my Exploration rank progressing correctly (now 52% Ranger in game) but when I opened the Personal entry in TCE, it shows my Explorer Rank as Dangerous on the left hand side of the panel.

Hmm, checked core and translation data of TCE and all showing the proper spelling, but if a station is not available at the unregistered market database, TCE took the allegiance name directly from the journal log.
Maybe you have an example of a station, where you see such a spelling issue.

Okay, found the issue and it should be fixed with the next version. Please report back, if it will happen again. Don't have much time for testing right now.
A mining outpost is the same as an industrial outpost. Frontier using both descriptions on the same item.

That could be two possible things :
1. Check the displayed monitor resolution in TCE, if the height in pixels matches with your screen height. If not, activate the multi-monitor setting to take advantage of the virtual screen resolution, instead of the primary monitor resolution, or
2. A program interacting with TCE, especially the "TCE Workspace" window. Change it to the "TCE Main UI" if possible.

I didn't have such an issue, nor other reported something for months, so it must be something on your side.

Thanks for reporting, found the issue, but hey, a dangerous explorer is not that bad as it sounds :)

Full-Version (1.4.4) released:

Changelog:
- Added reworked Summary panel to be more informative
- Added sort filter to the Cartography panel to better find, what you are looking for.
- Fixed an issue with engineer bases not detected properly.
- Fixed an issue with processing outfitting data after an EDMC connect.
- Fixed an rare registered market detection issue, showing it as unregistered.
- Fixed an issue with the location database, Please verify it with the launcher and repair if necessary.
- Fixed an issue showing a wrong number of unregistered markets at the Region Summary of the Navigation panel.

Notes:
This full version requires a new installation of TCE and a transfer of the databases from a previous version. Do not install this full version over your old.
Please check here, how to install a new full version, when used an older version before.
1. Rename current TCE folder (e.g. D:\TCE.old).
2. Install new full TCE Version (e.g. D:\TCE).
3. Run the TCE Launcher.
4. Select Database -> Transfer -> Choose old folder (D:\TCE.old).
5. After scanning, select Start Transfer.

I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in french or spanish, to help in translating the
latest commodities and interface phrases at OneSky. Thanks in advance.

1. Checked. It was correct, but will test the multi-mon setting, too.
2. I don't have the slightest clue what you're talking about. :D

2. I don't have the slightest clue what you're talking about. :D

The workspace window is a transparent window, laying in the back of TCE an covering the whole screen (as big as your select resolution).
If you move a panel out of the workspace window, the taskbar appear, when clicking onto it. So the workspace window prevents that.
Secondly another app, e.g. VA, maybe instructed to send the focus back to TCE and the handling perhaps disturbing TCE, don't know for sure.

I've checked the logs and it's spelt correctly, as it is in EDDB. Today I've been to 4 stations that where INDEPENDENT ones all came up blank. Data at EDDB was correct, INDEPENDENT. Also I registered a station that also came up blank, it was an EMPIRE station, but checking EDDB it was INDEPENDENT there, an not updatable on EDDB. So it does look like TCE isn't retrieving the DATA from EDDB, or EDDB isn't sending the correct DATA, when it's marked there as an INDEPENDENT station. It's no biggie (obviously) I'm just mentioning it.

Okay, found the issue and it should be fixed with the next version. Please report back, if it will happen again. Don't have much time for testing right now.

Will do.

No problem

Processing Journals Error.

After successfully transferring my DB and starting TCE I got this error, and TCE wouldn't proceed passed 60% also I'm unable to CANCEL the journal transfer using the button. I had to end the task.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

The 3rd time I said no to processing of Journals, and TCE started up fine.
