The 3rd time I said no to processing of Journals, and TCE started up fine.

LOGS

Okay, found an issue, that in the transfer of an old database the player.data file is not copied to the new installation! Please copy it by hand until I release a patch for it.
Normally you don't have to process all unprocessed journal file after the transfer.

@Updated the installation file with the fix. Anyone, who processed all unprocessed journal files, should reinstall TCE and transfer the old database from the previous version again or simply copy the player.data file by hand from your old installation to the actual installation, when you have transferred your old database before.

The workspace window is a transparent window, laying in the back of TCE an covering the whole screen (as big as your select resolution).
If you move a panel out of the workspace window, the taskbar appear, when clicking onto it. So the workspace window prevents that.
Secondly another app, e.g. VA, maybe instructed to send the focus back to TCE and the handling perhaps disturbing TCE, don't know for sure.

Display settings changed nothing, and no other app is interfering as far as i could see. Modified a market, hit save. Taskbar stays upfront.
Wonder what's causing this...

edit: How about adding the 'Interstellar Factors Contact' to the Services? Could be handy.

Have not tried yesterday's version yet but I had an issue with the Cargo tab at the bottom of the screen yesterday.

Flying a Cobra Mk III with a 40t cargo capacity.
When I click on the Cargo tab it showed me carrying 40t of gold (correct) but also 4t of a Survival Equipment (incorrect).
I'll try yesterday's version and see if this issue repeats itself.

And thank you for your continuing efforts on this.
New user (for several days) but it is looking pretty cool.

Cant take photo for cartography db

Hi - When in the cartography db, clicking on 'Take Picture' brings up an empty wire frame which I assume is the camera window but I don't see any way to take the photo or to close the frame. I am probably missing something obvious but could you point me in the right direction as I can't see it! Same issue for me in both 1.4.3 & 1.4.4

I've recently started playing Elite Dangerous and I was encouraged by some mentors to look into TCE. After installing it and setting up the extensions, I've really been impressed with the program! However, I'm having a reoccurring issue when adding new stations/out posts to the database that is starting to really become a nuisance...

The issue seems to be centered The Star Distance field when attempting to add a new market to the database. If the field appears red, I have found it impossible to get it to turn green and subsequently save the market to the database. I've tried typing in the correct numbers, incorrect numbers, letters, nothing at all... I simply can't get the field to turn green no matter what I do and I cannot save the market to the database with a red field. Now, I assume I'm doing something incorrectly or this is simply a bug... so is there anything I need to do differently? This issue occurs frequently with planetary bases and stations that do not share an orbital plane with a star.

I've been working on this for some time... I managed to get it SOMETIMES to work, you might want to check out OpenVRDesktopDisplayPortal.

It's a bit of a configuration nightmare because it operates on a new panel for each section... each panel needs defined to the VR layers, and each becomes a new applet panel within the architecture layer of VR display.. It's ...ummm...annoying

OpenVRDesktopDisplayPortal works great with the Elite Companion App (The G19s) however if you need a starting guide.

Question: What can i do, if a panel doesn't fit my resolution on my monitor, the font is too big or too small or make it transparent?
Answer: There is a CONTROL button at the top-left corner of every panel (beside the Main panel, you will find them with CONTROL > PANEL). It opens the panel control window to change the transparency, the size of the panel and the font size. Click at the SAVE CHANGES button to store the adjusted values.

Hi - When in the cartography db, clicking on 'Take Picture' brings up an empty wire frame which I assume is the camera window but I don't see any way to take the photo or to close the frame. I am probably missing something obvious but could you point me in the right direction as I can't see it! Same issue for me in both 1.4.3 & 1.4.4

Thanks for reporting the issue, which is not WAD. To change the position of the Camera panel do the following:
1. Open the Options panel and select the Panel Configuration submenu.
2. Click the 'Select' button under Panel Position and choose the Camera.
3. Now change the x/y value from 0/0 to maybe 100/100.

Thereafter the panel should be fully visible and you can drag'n'drop it where you want. The next version will hold a fix for it.

You have to press the enter key after every input of data (beside notes), so TCE can check, if the input is correct. The data field turns green thereafter.

NEW ISSUES:

1) SUMMARY Panel doesn't remember previous settings. I've set it to not display bodies, but when TCE is restarted it's reverted back to displaying bodies.
1a) Also, exceptionally minor issue; the mouse over only works when you've clicked one of the three filters.

2) Exceptionally weird issue that I started experiencing yesterday. When TCE is saving a new station details my mouse pointer starts to float around the screen to the right as if something else is moving the mouse, it also happens for a few seconds when starting up TCE. I've reinstalled TCE from afresh, same problem. I even reinstalled my Corsair M65 RGB PRO mouse drivers, same problem, reinstalled latests drivers same problem. Not sure what information you'll need for this, or if you'll have a clue what could be causing it. This also happens when SC'ing between systems as TCE is updating to the system I'm traveling too.

I'm mainly putting this out there to see if anyone else is experiencing odd issues.

3) Random error whilst in SC, not using TCE at the time, error then kept popping up every few seconds or so. Quite out of TCE and restarted.

You referring to the tooltip mouse over, or the list of locations? Maybe ED had the focus? Will check it.

Doing nothing to mouse movement in TCE (didn't know how to either), so this issue must be on your side.

DEBUG FILE

The distance calculation isn't stopped here to a planetary port, It is quite difficult in SC, so I confess, that is an issue of TCE. Will check, why TCE won't kill the distance calculation when entering SC.

This is the second time, you posted a read only access error on your database. None else reported this issue, so for me, the issue here is on your side again. Sorry

Yeah I thought it'd be difficult, but I don't get the mouse weirdness when TCE isn't running, it always happens when TCE is busy updating.

Hummm, not sure what that means, but you do so that's fine.

Unless it means when travelling long distance in SC this happens.

Definitely nothing is locking my DB, like I said it's not in the Google Drive, I didn't have the folder open or a db open, the only thing running is the TCE start window. Also I can repeat it consistently. However I suppose it's not a real problem as the files still get generated.

I noticed that, but then I noticed that the connecting/processing button didn't clear from STORING to CONNECT, sometimes, so it made it look like it hadn't finished when it actually had. However I belive it's somewhat slower still.

Yeah, my guess would be that it's "done enough" for me when the auto destination changes/updates. I just don't want to click on trade to see prices until i KNOW they've been updated in the db. So for now, I'm just waiting until it says 'completed' and the countdown restarts.
