CQC Does CQC contribute to the loan raising on the rebuy screen???

I recently lost my Python and I am unable to get it back because I do not have the money to get it. Problem being, the Python was my ONLY ship that I had. All is not lost. I have been earning credits through CQC to soften the insurance price and it is working. My current highest pilots federation rank is trailblazer in exploration and because of this, the creditor gives me a higher loan. The insurance cost in total is 2,815,997 and my max loan is 1,000,000 credits. If I had advanced my exploration rank to Pathfinder, I would have had a loan of 2,500,000, but I can no longer advance that rank because I have no ship and I can't go into open play. Low and behold, CQC is still an option and I can still increase my pilots federation in that. I am currently at Amateur and I was wondering if it was possible to advance through amateur and all the way up to Champion. Obviously it is possible, but would getting to champion raise my loan? On the Elite Dangerous Wiki, it says loans are raised through pilot federation ranks, but it does not include CQC ranks. Is this wrong??? Has anyone committed solely into arena mode and has reached Elite in it? If so, has your loan increased??? I really do need some help and I'm not starting from scratch after 250 hours of grinding if there is even a SLIVER of chance that I can rebuy the Python. Someone confirm my theory please. Can anyone direct me to an app that lets me see my pilots federation ranks and can I look at them while flying CQC?

I dont know the answer too your question but if GQC rank does count getting to chanpion might involve more work than you did to get the python, i lost a ship in a similer fashion last year and went back to the sidewinder, surprising thing was because i new what i was doing it did not take me so long to get back into a python then an anaconda. good luck sunshine.

This is a journey I am willing to embark on. I just need to know if my method will actually work. If I spent an entire day playing this game, I can imagine I can get past 1 rank in CQC and raise my credits to at least 50,000. It will take a long time and a big commitment is at hand, but I am willing to get there. I just need to know that if I get to champion, then I will have a higher loan. It's all I need to know. I also didn't check today, but I need to know if I can check my progress through the pilot federation as I play CQC. I just need to know that my dream of slowly clawing myself out of the dirt is possible [cry]. Is there any player that has ever committed his account to CQC and got to Elite rank while having no rank on any other CQC rank? I just need answers. Will you help me Shar?

I don't know if you're CQC ranking counts towards your loan and as I am elite in exploration I can't even try it for you. However , I can at least tell you that you can see your CQC ranking and progress in the status screen within CQC assuming that is what you meant.

I really wish i knew for sure if the GQC rank increases your loan limit it's possible, can a moderator or dev please give an answer to this question and put this poor sod out of his missery as there is no documentation to confirm...........

Moderator please help.......................... just need a yes or a no.

I do a bit of CQC.. I'm currently ranked Semi-Professional which is rank 29 in CQC terms.. It says in statistics that I've made a total of 89,000 from CQC. It's not very much... although of course I don't know how much you're short..

that is correct. CR earned by CQC can be used to earn a rebuy.

whether it is faster than restarting with a sidey - no idea.

as for rank - no idea, no source, but i would assume so.

@OP you did try to "strip" your ship in the rebuy screen? e.g. not to buy back the most expensive moduls?

Not sure about the loan increasing, but any money you earn from CQC can be used to rebuy your ship. It depends how much you need really, if it's a few million it could take months unfortunately. Good luck CMDR!

Each Prestige cycle will get about 500,000, and if you're a good player and doing nothing else because you can't, and you're in a favourable timezone for getting games, you can probably make that in two weeks or so, best case - so that might well be quicker if you don't need too much extra money. In less favourable conditions, maybe not.

Prestige cycle?

How does this work?

When you hit rank 50, you get the option to "Prestige" and go back to rank 1. When you do you get a new gold badge next to your rank. When you reach rank 50 again, you can prestige again, and so on up to 8 times. Each prestige level gets its own badge. Resetting your rank means you lose any unlocks and need to regain them.

Prestiging at least once also unlocks a permit system in the main game (CD-43 11917) that has a station with good combat outfitting discounts (Attilius Orbital).

So you keep your pilot rank (professional, champion etc), but your numerical rank resets? How many times do you have to prestige before you hit Elite? All 8?

Correct.

Hitting Elite requires a lot more XP than prestige 8. One of the players that have achieved it can chime in, but I think it's somewhere between 2x and 3x the effort of reaching prestige 8 to reach Elite.

Though prestige is optional - you can choose to just stay at Prestige 0-7 Rank 50 for as long as you like, and you'll still get XP towards your Pilot Fed rank. You could in theory make Elite without any prestige rank that way.

Assuming you did prestige immediately every time, Elite is 3,685,000 XP, and each prestige cycle is 268,758 XP, so approximately prestige 13.

In theory prestige is supposed to give increased earnings, but that doesn't work at the moment, so all you get is the permit (the first time) a new rank badge, and some encouragement to experiment with loadouts you might not have tried for a while.
