If you want to sit there whimpering like a scared wittle puppy dog that is fine. We don't know why our ships lose control. It may not be their fault, it might be from dropping out of hyperspace. It may be their best weapon against us, and they are hoping they can intimidate us.

( I am RPing a bit here, so don't take anything too seriously. I think a lot of what it does is just to make things more cinematic.)

*dons RP cap*

Patience in all things CMDR. You must remember that this is a race that had its very existence threatened by a virus unleashed on them by us. The fact they arent destroying CMDRs on sight should give us pause; we dont know what their intentions are. They may well have lost all stomach for a fight with us, knowing what we are capable of. They may be gathering intel for future malicious use. We. Dont. Know.

What we DO know is they can disable our ships at will, and there isnt a damn thing we can do about it. For this reason alone, sparking war at this time is atrociously ill-advised until we find out how to prevent this ship disabling tech they have, we wouldnt stand a snowflakes chance in hell. Lets bide our time and counter their tech whilst we figure out their intentions.

(Disclaimer: Hardcore RP hat on)

HAHAHA! You are grasping at straws. Like they would pull us out of jump just to say hi. That's like busting into your neighbor's house to say good morning.

There is hostility there. Pulling someone out of hyperspace (or whatever) is like forcing them off the road.

You snap at ME about making assumptions, then say that the UAs might be little alien children/eggs?!?! Besides good mothers DO NOT leave their children scattered across the galaxy.

Some people just want to find a narrative to fit with their desire to do what they want, rather than allowing the narrative to guide their course if action.

Honestly "forcing someone off the road" is not a fitting analogy. That implies the forced vehicle us going to be damaged by an aggressive assailant.

Were the ships damaged? Was the assailant aggressive? No. End of

If you'd said "Like picking you carefully off the road and placing you safely in a car park" then I would buy that.

Interesting thoughts:
I have not seen a single manifest scan on the the U.S.
and the cargo they carry so far.
I have not seen a "cargo hatch" on the U.S. so far.
So hatchbreakers bypass shields, tried it?

If you enter SC after the 'dict, where are you then?

This, a bazillion times this. My Python wasn't exactly non-combat and I didn't stand a chance, I couldn't run fast enough. Like I said, a million lost in cargo, bounties and exploration data and another 4M for the rebuy. I'm really angry and it sours the game.

How about joining Mobius to deny these idiots the opportunity of ruining the game?

Been flying around for a couple of hours now. Met some great CMDRS too!
Got 2 hyperdictions both near the Electra system. Had a UA for both.
One thing I noticed on my second encounter, I lined up with the exit of the alien ship, and set Merope as my target. The ships directory pointed DIRECTLY towards Merope.
However, unless I am able to test this again, it could be written off as coincidence.
So if any other commanders out there could do the same test for me, that would be awesome!

Ah, a bit of science at last! Repped

Nice! New triangle!

I SOLVED IT

EDIT: Sadly, the only thing that's interdicted me so far is database transaction errors :(

Notice how when the alien ships scans, it seems to draw 'yellow dots' from the CMDR ships. Is it puling something from the UA's...'cos i remember while ago people saw points of light dancing round the UA's when they were in space..
