I've asked this in the first contact thread but I think it appropriate to ask here as well, given how fast everything is moving: does having a UA in a corrosion-resistant rack have any effect on the probability of alien interdiction? I spent the afternoon, from shortly before lunch time until just now, wandering around jumping from system to system in the Pleiades and out as far as the edge of the UA shell, carrying a UA in a corrosion-resistant rack and saw no sign of anything unusual (I did enough exploration to more than fill a page of exploration data, so maybe 60-70 new systems, not counting those I'd previously visited and scanned). I'm wondering if the meta-alloys are screening whatever UA transmissions the alien ship might be homing in on. Whilst I have heard that cmdrs with no UA have been interdicted, these seem to be rarer. Perhaps there is a hotspot where interdictions are more common? I did visit one or two places where they've been known to occur, including a known crash site.
.
Good luck to everyone searching! I would hold on to that scan data - it wouldn't surprise me if there's a CG for it soon (or even competing CGs! I imagine the Federation, Empire and Alliance would all like to get their hands on it).
